We are all aware that when you want a "premium" name they are not available until spring 2007 and you have to fill in the form.
Well apparently not! Loans.TV was a $95,000 premium name and you had to fill the form in and wait.
Now i see that Loans.TV is taken, and the whois is filled in, albeit with whois privacy.

Date created 29/03/2007

Now,when i first saw this i was annoyed that premium names were being sold off before the release date and i am still dissapointed the way Enom.TV are handling all this, however i have had time to think about this further and there is an upside to all this.
Someone is willing to pay $95,000 reg fee for a.TV domain name which is GREAT news and we have all noticed an increase in .TV interest and sales recently and i believe this signals the beginning of an era for .TV.

Maybe they didnt pay $95k regfee for it and they are a relative of someone at enom.tv and only payed $95.

Maybe thats true i hadn't thought of that,I always give my relatives $94,905 worth of goods if they ask for it.

:bingo:

While i basically agree with stoneroses and the .TV is hopefully gaining momentum, it appears that the most of the registrants are becoming more and more shady of late. eNom has never been true to its customers, their pricing, other than for .tv is not even remotely competitive and they customer service department is a joke at best.

Maybe they didnt pay $95k regfee for it and they are a relative of someone at enom.tv and only payed $95.
Hehe, would that really be a surprise?

When I attended the Enom reseller conference in Las Vegas, they said it will be April 15 .. let's see in a couple of weeks.

This is also the date for .TV portal service...

I will keep you posted.

It may well have done, but Enoms message is "they won't be available until spring 2007" not the beginning of spring,my point is, they haven't announced they are available to register as yet,and all the other premiums still require you to fill in a form and wait until Enom sees fit to release them.So why and how has this particular one been released from captivity before any announcement from them saying they were now releasing them?.

SKG,thankyou, i only found it because as you know i have a vested interest in this name doing well! :)

Thanks for keeping us posted, lots of people here like to know :)

Stoneroses, I had emailed Enom to buy a few names, but got a response that I just have to fill in the form. Maybe companies with deep pockets can get names out before they are released :hehe:

Agreed, 'cause in the end it's anything but fair.
It should be: "we hold out until we have enough players on board so we can generate the most money - screw fairness - we rule the .tv and you'll bring us the bucks"

Do you suppose after tasting them for the past 4 months, they're registering and keeping them for themselves, for Mr. Rosenblatt's lazy man's media empire?

Most likely Demand Media took for themselves this was the whole reason why they wanted to run this extension, They are not your friend they are your competition. A for profit company in this business the same as everyone else

If they took it for themselves, then again, they need to change the verbage to "thankyou for your interest in this premium name.......we have taken these names off the market indefinately, until we make up our mind whther or not we will be registering them ourselves, or, if we have no interest in registering them ourselves, then we will wait until spring to release them........"

Equity,

To be able to handpick your regges before anyone else can get a look in does not sound like the management of an extention but more like the complete buyout of it.,......

It is possible that they contacted everyone who filled out the forms for the particular names, we just do not know. Maybe they are starting to work done the list and getting in touch with those who inquired. I am sure nobody here at least filled up the forms for loans and games looking at the price point.

I filled both those out and business and news.......had to run it past the wife first.,......

You filled out but you certainly were not putting out the $450,000 for Business.tv.

And I have always thought filling that out meant nothing other than you would get an email when they released premiums on a first come first served.

SKG I doubt that why is it so hard to believe Demand Media is in this for themselves first? I am lost by the naivety of people thinking Demand Media got involved with .tv to be an administrator, they came to .tv to make money and compete against everyone else. Looks like they got an unfair advantage

Filling out the form was not a Request For Proposal it was just to have something on the page when the domain came back not available to register at the present time IMO
