mortgage is always very hot. But mortgage.exts are all off.
I got eMortgage.jp today with 31$ per year.
How do you think the name?
iMortgage is a trademark. e-Mortgage is also a trademark. But eMortgage is not registered trademark.
Would this name cause a trademark issue?
Thanks.

I do not think that there is a TM issue here but not sure about this name with the .jp extension for resale markup

I am also not sure. Just had a try.
I regged this one because I found there is a company in California the name is eMortgage. But they applied e-Mortgage as the trademark.
online mortgage in increasing now. So I think the time is on my side.
Another reason is the economic in Japan is recoverd now.The realestate market has gone out of the downturn.
I only regged two .jp names. this one and iPoker.jp

But do people call it "mortgage"?

The Japanese tr might be this: 抵当 (to be confirmed).
However Western expats and property investers might be interested in such a service in English. also has potential as the Japanese financial market becomes more open.

Maybe 分割払込金, I don't live in Japan so I don't know what people call it.

分割払込金 means installment.
抵当/典当 means mortgage.

you still need to be careful about the TM issue.

Still not sure about the TM issue.
I will take care of that.

eMortgage is a company in California.their trademark is e-Mortgage.
eMortgage.ca is another company in Canada, their trademark is eMortgage.ca
eMortgage.co.nz
eMortgage.com.au has no trademark.

Who will sue me? I think they should negotiate together, decide who is the first and stand in a line, come to Japan to sue me.
The smallest case fee in Japan is 3000$.
At most, I lost one domain. But at least, they must sue me first, then they maybe can have a chance to get the name.
