Today I registered iPoker.jp with about $31. But at one Japanese language only website:
muumuu-domain.com

I have checked the trademark at USPTO. iPoker was once a trademark, but already abandoned in 2005. Apple company does not have trademark for iPoker. So I think this one is safe.

I also checked the renew price. In Japanese language website, it is much cheaper than English interfaced ones. It is the same around $31 per year.

If you can read Kanji, then you can guess the meaning even you don't know any Japanese language. So people in Chinese culture circle can enjoy this price without bothering about the $138 renew fee at asiadns.

Because everything in Japan is expensive, $30 could be seen as a reasonable price.

This is my first time to register .jp domain names

How do you think about this name? value? potential? and others?
regards.

just to confirm: this is in kanji script equivalent, not roman script right?
jp-domains offers 2 for 1 on IDN domains, so first order with coupon would work out at $35 per domain, and second order $30 per domain so not so much difference.
i think the i in the ipoker seriously weakens this name and would only register pure keywords in .jp other then names associated with Japanese culture. The extension cost is not worth the gamble of regging or re-regging names of the second rank unless it is for serious development purposes.

I think even only for huge amount of mac users in Japan, this name is deserved to reg.
But I am not sure how much potential it has.
All all other main cctlds have iPoker now,so I think it is the time to reg one for .jp
