Anyone dealt with this person who wants to buy .info domains? The emails seem fairly selective but still smell like spam? I have searched around and cannot find anyone called this - so I do not think real name .. (metthew?)

Dear Sir,
We are interested in purchasing this domain name, could you tell
me if you are willing to let it go and if so for how much?
Thanks,
Metthew Blue

It isn't necessarily a scam ... maybe just some private guy trying to buy a name ?

he's a scammer. he keeps spamming same email, even when you return an email answering enquiry.
he's done to many people on boards
this bitch has been discussed before.

I thought as much but I couldn't find anything on searching NP for 'metthew' so thought it was good to get it logged.

This was a counter attack after the first CCC.com bulk offers went out, from a different user. This guy offered $125 for most and I see from this post he used another email template as well.

The servers used, are from DRT and DRT added a "new" feature that extracts whois emails, and you can send Bulk Emails to who you choose in the lists. It's all automated and makes it very easy to send these kind of emails.

I put out a call Right Now for Luc to get rid of this feature ASAP, as people will abuse it, as they already are! This tool is just going to give other domainers and our industry more bad press for the few bad apples that are pounding away doing it and misusing the tool.

OK sounds fairly innocent - go easy on whoever it was ( I have only received 3 or 4 .. )

It smells of the appraisal scam.
They get you interested in negotiations and then they say they need it appraised from xxxxxcompany which is tied to them in some way so they profit from the appraisal.
You could continue and see where it leads. If it's a scam, you could at least have some fun with them and waste their time.
