Wanted some thoughts here...

I never really thought about listing names so soon but after reading so many success stores here at NP + having the godaddy reps tell me that i'm crazy for not listing my names - i figured it might be time to consider it.

I have about 500-1000 names which have been purchased over the past year or two that i'd like to list for auction but i don't have 3 months to list all of these names, respond to numerous requests b/c i've been extremely busy with my full time business! lol...

I have never really listed my names before so I am really am not looking forward to having to individually list each one. I'm sure that someone must allow bulk auction listings? Most of the names are general generic consumer keyword combos and brandables. Most are 1-2 words. I also have roughly 100-200 LLLLL's.

I hear people here mention Sedo, Fabulous, Afternic, etc... I guess I am looking for the most exposure + easiest (fastest!) to list for auction?

Any thoughts, advice or tips from those of you who have done it already would be much appreciated.

B-)

Your best bet is probably to list them in competitively priced bulk lots right here on Namepros. It's very difficult to liquidate a large number of domains in a hurry at any venue unless you're willing to accept a fair bit under what you believe to be "reseller value".

Thanks Reece!!!

Truth is I'm not in a rush to sell them... just list them!!!

I'd be fine if they were listed for some time... I also don't need to sell all of them!... I figure if i could make a few sales here and there and maybe double or triple my initial investment over time - then why not?

My only hesitation is that if I've got 500-1000 names listed then i may get quite a few emails every day which could be a potentially time consuming endeavor? This is why i originally thought i might just be better off to hold long term and deal with all of that down the road??? (say 5-10 years?)

Cash flow is not my main concern right now - although, like anyone else - it would be great to make a few bucks here and there!

You can bulk upload to Sedo. I suspect that you will not get too many offers - selling domains at end-user prices is slow. There probably is a way to set a minimum offer or buy it now price in bulk, if you want to prevent low ballers. Probably can bulk upload to the other places also.

I also plan to hold most of my domains for many years. I list them at Sedo to get a bit of parking income and an occasional offer, but I expect that even end user prices will look really low in a few years - for the right domains, that is.

Sedo had a spreadsheet you can download and email back to them to bulk list your domains. In my experience, the domains get listed in less than a week after sending them the spreadsheet.

Afternic has the option to download and upload a .csv file. The upload process checks for errors. In my experience the domains get listed after 2-3 days.

TDNAM has an option to send you a spreadsheet, which you send back to your account manager. They have to get one of their staff to input the data. This is obviously prone to manual input errors. It can take maybe 2 weeks to get your domains listed.

Don't worry about this issue unless all your names are premium domains.
You won't get many emails ;)

I would choose fabulous over sedo if you can get accpeted there. I have had better success with my fab. listings, or even afternic over sedo.
