Hi all!

We’ve created this thread to make it easier to communicate with us here on Namepros, and we’ll also be posting regular updates on our offers and products. Please feel free to share any feedback and suggestions with us, or to let us know if there’s anything we can assist with.

We’d like to kick things off with an extension of our $7.99 .COM transfer sale, the code “COMTRANS4” has been extended until 23:59 PST on May 31, and there’s no limit on how many domains you can transfer using the code. Every month we have great prices on a wide selection of domains, and you can find a full list of our sales here:

https://www.dynadot.com/sales.html

We’re also excited to share that our CEO, Todd Han, will be hosting an AMA (Ask Me Anything) right here on Namepros in the near future, with more information on a date and time coming soon.

Dynadot is an ICANN accredited domain name registrar and web host headquartered in San Mateo, California. Founded in 2002 by a software engineer, our primary focus is engineering and design excellence. Our custom written, state-of-the-art domain and hosting software is stable, fast, and easy to use. From humble beginnings, we have grown steadily and now are home to over 2.6 million domains.

Our goal is to provide our customers with world class registration and hosting services for a reasonable price. Most of our site is fully automated, allowing us to offer some of the lowest prices in the industry. At the same time we strive to provide excellent customer service, and helpful responses to all questions. If anything is not to your satisfaction, feel free to contact us, and we will do our best to resolve the situation.

We individually respond to every email we receive - no cut and paste responses. Customer service is handled by highly trained customer service representatives that work closely with our software engineers, so you are likely to get an intelligent response to your question.

@Caleb Tweed

Any news about disabling auction notification mails?
Yes! We did launch that a bit ago, sorry I thought I had posted about it. You can disable both "New Bid" and "Outbid" notices from here: https://www.dynadot.com/account/info/notifications.html

If the domain's on your watchlist and you don't want to receive the "Auction Ends In" notifications either, you can disable it on the same page from the "Domain Monitoring email" section.

@Caleb Tweed Quite a while ago I requested the ability to be able to save one's preferred TLDs when using bulk search. This became available some time ago, thanks!

However, the one complaint I still have is that I can't choose what order they are listed in. I have even tried saving each extra TLD one at a time (hoping the new ones would just go to the end of the list), but in the end your system chooses what order they're displayed in. It would be fantastic if there was a way to customise this order...
thanks.

I'll check with the team if we can let TLDs be place in a specific order!

If you've been looking for .COM Regs, it's your lucky day! We've decided to go even harder on the .COM sale, and have launched a brand new $6.99 Reg sale! There is a limited quantity we can offer at this price, so be sure to Register your names ASAP with the code: LOVEDOTCOM

Thank you for the implementation. I can confirm that new bid and outbid notification settings are working as they should.

However, there is a catch with watchlist. I use this tool to track both auctions and domains that are about to drop. If I disable it, I won't be able to receive notifications about dropping names either.

Is it possible to add a setting to disable only auction notifications? It would be great if I could disable the "Auction Ends in ..." emails as well.

Possibly, perhaps we can make it a drop-down from the watchlist checkbox. I'll see what we can do.

Edit: Scratch that, when i was testing it just happened to do it in the correct order, but my subsequent tests had the same results you did. Disregard this, still looking into it.

Today I've been shredding old tax records and I come across two 1099's from Dynadot, one for $21,434 and the other $7,232, both in the same year, 20 years ago. I must have sold a couple names at auction, that's all I can think of.

Could you send me a screenshot of what domain going to with the error message please? I did a few tests on Chrome Incognito and all the ones I went to resolved no problem.

Hi @Caleb Tweed just letting you know there seem to be some issues with your domain management page updating the status of Afternic and Sedo listings. I sometimes check to see if someone else has listed my domains. I notice at the moment that a couple of domains which Dynadot says are listed on Afternic actually aren't, and vice versa a couple that are listed on Afternic and Sedo, Dynadot says are not. I waited 24 hours and checked again in case your system needed a refresh, but the status remains the same. How often should this status update? I will PM you some examples so your devs can check into this.

I agree, it's insanely busy now. really hard to see what you're doing. Get the marketing people out of that room and the usability people into the room!

My thoughts exactly. So many buttons and menus I can't find half of what I used before.

There was nothing wrong (imo) with how it was before so why spend money to change it?

@Caleb Tweed I'm guessing there's no revert back ability?

I really wish I didn't update the app.
