Just thought I would share a headache I had to deal with because of laziness or whatever you would call it. I recently got a new cell phone and it was so cool to be able to use a simple app to transfer everything to my new phone from my old one. I just looked quickly and unfortunately, when I saw my Authenticator app, I thought all was good, so I wiped the old phone clean. Later, I realized that although I copied over the Authenticator app, it doesn't carry over all the account info inside. I just had to go through hell clearing this up with 4 registrars...Why? Because when I set up the TFA I didn't bother to save or print the backup codes. Lesson learned. All is well now, but I will warn you....it's not easy to get it fixed. Especially with Enom. They are really strict and it requires like two separate telephone interviews. Moral of the story is, be sure to use TFA, but be sure to save the backup codes. I don't usually make this type of mistake, but since I did, I won't ever, ever again.
