Hi,

I sold the domain registred on namesilo.com to the buyer.
He started the transfer with goddady.com and got me a message from them to confirm the transfer, when I pressed the button I approve I got this message: There was an error processing your transfer-in.
What i need to do? Maybe this message was for buyer?

Thanks in advance :)

Maybe domain is locked or wrong auth code

Why didnโ€™t he want it pushed to a Namesilo account?

What was the error message?

There is another thing to consider. Did you click the link, or did you cut and paste the URL. Some of these email confirmations are being routed through 3rd party stats sites, and this can cause errors.

How old was the domain name? There could have been a 60 day hold on it if it was a newly purchased name.

Domain is unlocked.

This is error message: Unexpected Error - There was an error processing your transfer-in.

I click the link in email from GoDaddy.

Domain is 65 days old.

I believe the mistake was 'transfer-in' if you sold this, you would be 'transferring out'.
But godaddy has this wierd way of sending messages to the other party.
If your buyer is at Godaddy, you need to do nothing at their website.
After sending auth code, unlocking and acknowledging the ownership and intent to transfer 'at namesilo', thats it.

Edit, it's up to the buyer to accept the transfer if everything else is done..

I think you're right but I was confused by the message from the buyer who send me this:
We have initiated the transfer to our account on GoDaddy.
I think you will get a request from them to approve the transfer.

Thank you!

For whatever reason, godaddy sends a duplicate message to the other party.
It would be easy to be confused by it if you did not know that.
Sometimes I think they are just trying to collect profile data on the other party.

Then you should contact support and have them look into it for you. They will be able to see what is happening and if it needs another action to be completed for the transfer to continue.
