hi all

we've got a domain stolen at namesilo, already tried different way stop the domain transfer , start investigation ...

of course after that we told set 2-Factor Authentication.

but the problems is how to steal?

no auth code sent, no approve link and even no one hacked to our account.

we sent some email to internet provider asking help about login log, it looks no suspious ip (still on investigation)

the domain just transfer from namesilo.com directly to other side.

no domain sales, never approve transfer!

NOTE:
that kind of domain stolen issue take us too much time on email or admin stuff,we plan to giveup to get the domain back .just want to know how the domain steal and transfer out for the up coming sufferer and stop domain stolen next time.

And what is the domain name ? It should be publicized so that nobody ends up buying a stolen asset.

Full details please.

- pushed to another namesilo account or transferred to another registrar?
- what email message you got to the email used for the domain contact?

Not sure of the full details here but pls contact us at [email protected] if you want us to look into this matter on our side. If the domain was pushed to another NameSilo account and you can prove that fraud or a hacker did it, we can still help you recover it. If it was pushed to another registrar, it will be tougher to return it. But in that case, there are several requirements that would have needed to happen in order to transfer it out (including unlocking the domain, requesting authentication code and approving the transfer out).

the domain may be finished transfer out around 11/9/2018

and we also asking namesilo help during the domain transfering.

and Tucows said

.....The domain name was on sale for a long time and was purchased with us through Buy Domains.

If there was a breach, it did not happen with Tucows, and we will not take any action to return the domain name without legal process.

Hello,

The domain was purchased legitimately on our end, there was not fraudulent activity. If you would like further information about our investigation we would require a subpoena domesticated in a competent court of jurisdiction.
