Domain sales letter example

Hi there,
I was wondering if some of you could give some examples of your domain seller letters that you send to partys you think might be interested in buying them.

Dear ......

etc etc

I am interested in how some of the more experience domainers here pitch their product. In our case domains.

Hello

My company has a domain name we think will interest you. The name is CustomGiftService.com (your domain)it is great for the market your are in. This is because the name itself will give you the edge on your competitors. My company registered this name because we knew it would be of great value for the gift (the names market) market. Please reply if you would like to make and offer.

Sincerely

Be patient. and do NOT repeat sending too the same reciepants..

* Be sure the 'FROM' email addy is not a freebie like yahoo.. make it a professional/website email address if possible.

* power in #'s.. how many emails have you sent? I generally send over 250+ per domain name I'm marketing.

* phone contact is always a great way to cut too the chase and get too the decision maker..

Goodluck!

Hi

thanks for that, what email template do you send them then ? what title do you give the email? do you contact them first asking for who is the best person to email or do you just send it to [email protected]?

thanks

If you have an active domain name site.. use an email from that address such as: [email protected] (or whatever your domain website is)

I don't send a "pre inquiry" first, I just send the email msg. too the contact email provided. I find many of my leads from doing a google search on that particular industry.. view those sites and locate the "contact" pages.. and send the msg. too that email.

Goodluck.

Nice stuff Wanda! :)

Couple questions..

Is it better to send to the contact email on the site rather than get the email out of the whois? I have been sending to the whois email admin contact.... one time I sent out like 30 or so emails for a name & one site I was sending to was a .tv site & I couldn't get the email from the whois so I used the email contact off the site & funny enough that was the only response I got (from the page I got the email off the site). ;)

Also, 250+ per name? How do you manage to get that many? Wouldn't that be a waste of a LOT of time (even if you can find that many) if the mailing was unsuccessful.

One last question.... when sending the emails, do you use "bcc" to hide that your emailing others too or is it best to let them see that so then they think "hmmmmm..... maybe I should get this name & not my competition".... they may offer more then too... ?!

Thanks.

Hmm.. any ideas for a name in which they own the .com and I own the .net? I have read them over and haven't found one I could change. I might just try my own and then post it here.

yet another question.. what happens if you get offers from more than one person. Which do you usually take? The highest or the first?
