discuss Does domain name advertising pay? How about extra exposure on platforms?

Hi guys. I’m wondering, are there practices some engage in to help improve STR? That is, something like Google ads, or paying for extra exposure through a site like Atom? Or…? I’m trying to get a sense if these are gimmicks, or if they can make a difference. Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure. I've had good experience with Atom both for premium names and standard names (parked with Atom). I recently did the $3 additional marketing exposure for about 200 of my standard domains at Atom as a test. I will hopefully be able to report back at the end of the year whether that helped any. I did the $3 as I wanted to keep my commission for standard domains at 7.5%
