Do you work 16 hours a day domaining ?

How many of you actually work hard (10 - 20) hours a day domaining to ensure success ?

I was spending about 12 hours a day domaining - however the last month Ive cut my time down to about 6 hours a day. I plan to jump back to 10-12 hours per day in Jan.

As for me its about 5 - 10 hours a day.

I would have to go for about 3 hrs a day but thats mainly developing a site that I'm working on. I also work on a computer all day at work so that is when i learn about domaining and post hear.

Usually more than 10 hours per day....This week I've cut back temporarily due to the holidays...Mostly shopping.

I'm probably spending less than 8 hrs per day right now but it's not unusual for me to spend 70 hours per week domaining in various ways.

I'm a full time student and a single mom, so this is typically a 1-2 hour a day on average, investment, hobby, business type thing. At the beginning i was spending what seemed like hours on end! There's enough of a profit and I'm still having fun, to keep going. If I didint have so many darn bills I would reinvest all my profits. I put all my parking rev towards renewal and reg fees, and any monies from domain sales into bills.

Anything from 8-16 hours a day, alot of that is research for unregistered portfolio groups. Hell I would hate to work out the time I have spent in the last 3 years at domaining.

Don't really get that much time anymore due to college and work. When I am free I try to spend couple of hours!

Used to spend more than 10 hours (when I was learning), but now I spent 2-4 hours a day.

I probably spend around 10-15 minutes a day actively looking for names. It could be less then that. I spend around 45 minutes a day reading Namepros, DNF, and digital point. Then I normally write articles or read about the stock market for 1-2 hours a day. So that brings me to around 2-3 hours spent per day reading. I am not sure how you could possibly spend 10+ hours a day actually domaining. I just do not see how that could be considered productive. If you work on the weekends that is around 70 hours a week. Say you work 50 weeks a year that is 3500 hours and if you are making a modest $25 you should make $87,500 in a year. To me if you are working that much and making less then $100,000 in a year you should seriously think of switching what you do with your time. Anyway, I guess that is why I do this as a hobby and not as a full time job.

well from what I can remember, I'd say from around 2000 to 2002 it was mostly whenever I wasn't sleeping or doing other essential stuff, with some breaks here or there... Some times I was at the computer for over 24 hours straight looking for domains. I remember a few times my eyes would be burning so much I could only look at the screen for about 10 seconds at a time without having to rest them. I spent one whole weekend typing all possible 3 letter combinations at register.com looking for any available 3 letter .coms, except not without sleeping...but it was basically get some sleep, then back to the computer,..sleep, computer...until I checked all the 3 letter combos. However I now hardly spend any time on domains, since I made enough money to survive on.

I work a full time job which takes about 9-10 hours out of my weekdays. I would then spend on average another 4-5 hours domaining. Hoping I can can the job in 2008 and focus on full time domaining.

Well, my day job ensures I'm online 10 hours a day. Spend a couple of hours getting updates and DJRs. Another couple answering mails and making presentations. Maybe two more playing games and about four here there and everywhere.

While not even an hour or so is actually spent 'domaining' I do keep NP on in the background and refer to it almost hourly.

Except when I'm on vacation, then I check my email once a day!
