There is an expression of which I am a believer....work smarter, not harder.

It's not time-quantity that matters, it's quality. :)
(and if you "work" 20hrs a day domaining you've got some problems)
p.s: and that thing in your signature is scary.

 very true, but also your avatar is pretty scary :imho:

I think that somebody enjoys being domaining for 16+ hours having fun there is not much wrong: however if you do it for 7 days a week is a little weird.
No boyfriend, girlfriend, kids, walk with your dog, a meal out, game at cards, sport?mmmm sorry but this is sad :imho: .
I spend on average a couple of hours (sometimes 4 some others 0), is just a hobby and is fun...

I don't really work domaining, I spend more time on developing websites because it's easier to create websites and make money rather than registering domain names and hoping to make sales.

Just wished I had more time to do this....

Job takes up 12-13 hours of my day!

Domaining is more interesting than my job, that's for sure..

Weekdays Mon to Fri
Probably an hour or two max .. that includes catching up on blogs, thanks Francois for domaining.com :) checking parking accounts, rev, adjusting optimisation, managing auction bids, researching for new hand reg's. All of this falls outside of my normal working hours running our online internet day job so I tend to kick off about 6.30pm UK time having a rummage around to see what happening.

I am Managing to make some more ME time at the weekends and my me time includes indulging in my domaining research and regging new names. As it is the weekend I feel it is more guilt free :) so I can focus and spend some quality domaining time. I always have NP and other forums, blogs, tools etc open whilst being online and yes the hours seem to slip by.. how many for sure during my weekend chill fest .. I am not entirely sure I am dipping and out of various site during the day .. I run our support desk for our primary business so I have to be online and it affords me the opportunity to " play " with domains whilst under the guise of proper working.

Don't get me wrong domainers and those gurus that can devote full time hours you are indeed working and pretty hard I am sure .. I just manage to be able to enjoy a an illicit and profitable hobby whilst running the day job too .. maybes one day .. I will be able to focus on the domains as No1 job :)

Status: Reg v sold 2007- significant profit circa 28,000%
Status: parked rev earned v renewal fee portfolio cost 9000% profit
Status: full time domainer - 6%

my hopes for 2008 - full time domainer 25% - 40% portfolio increment rev increase 10% sales 0.3%

Happy 2008 !
