Domaining.Fun
Mine :) I'm open to offers.

For your spot poll, it probably depends on the word. Emoji was a premium. I picked up emojis. I think it still works, perhaps not as good as emoji, though.

lol nice! domaining is fun! lol

but.....what about Boards.fun

I wanted generic as possible.

Boards as a keyword covers

Skateboards
Snowboards
Hoverboards
Surfboards

(give thee above a try. some might be available. in singular or plural.)

Next question.

What about 2 word .fun domains?

I know the rule with new extensions is keep it within single words.

but what it certain 2 word domains have sold in the past for big money?

for example OnlineCasino.com? or OnlineCasino.fun?>

.fun is huge waste and is a joke

All the nice .fun have renewal fees of $x,xxx a year. NO THANKS!
I searched for 15-20 domains in a row that I wanted to register and each one had $x,xxx renewal fee.

.fun could have been a huge opportunity in domain business but with renewal prices of $x,xxx
I will not invest in any .fun , I have no interest in .fun domains.

AGREED.

When I see boards, I think of forums. But, I'm not today's youth. They may think otherwise. (I can promise you they do.)
OnlineCasino.fun could work, but, I'm not a client that knows the business. Casino would have been better, but I can't imagine how much it costs.

.fun is $4.99 @ GoDaddy now

Thanks for sharing.
Though the renewal price at Godaddy is still high... $29.99.
Name.com renewal price: $24.99(first year registration $11.99).

Namecheap: renewal:$19.88; first year $ 6.88 :xf.grin:

Thank you.
Though I'm not using this registrar due to negative impressions & reviews.
Also, Namecheap allowed the registration of .xyz domains, over 1 million .xyz domains were registered with namecheap and then they cancelled their .xyz support.
http://domainincite.com/21113-namecheap-stops-selling-xyz-domains

I suspect it won't be the last time they will do this, maybe with more new gTLDs.

Once registered there should be any problem to transfer out if you are not satisfied with them

You may know it already, but a transfer is possible only after 60 days from the registration date.*

*general ICANN rule

wonder if there are already any Transfer deals? could this $4.99 Godaddy be an opportunity to transfer out of Namecheap?

2 years = $6.88(namecheap) + $4.99 (Godaddy Transfer) = cheap 2 years.

Ok so most Geos in .fun are taken by Radix. That's fine. but there are other good two word domains in .com that are sorta Geos but more travel focused that have sold for six figures.

words like

ChinaTours.com
EuropeanVacations.com
KoreaTours.com

Sure you can't get China.fun or Korea.fun

both of which in .com would fetch million dollars at least.

but words like Tours or Vacations or Cruises added to it still have high sales.

I say check out the highest two word sales in .com for keywords Tours,Vacations,Cruises,Travel,Trip you'd be surprised what you'd find that might work with .fun.

and don't stop there but other keywords + another keyword comboed with .fun can still have value.

words like

Free
Cheap
Discount
Parks
Videos

It's all about making sure whatever you get has an exact match COMP in .com that Namebio shows a high sale. or even better has many sales.

I've targetted mostly 5 to 6 figure sales only.
here's one Cruise.fun ($7,000) Cruises.fun ($14K)

mine? Cruiselines.fun Cruiseline.fun

to understand why?

just go check out what's sitting on

Cruiselines.com
Cruiseline.com

It's always the same concept:
Registration is 'cheap', renewal / transfer isn't.

Like 'baits for the fishes' - but at least we have 365 days to sell it before the 'critical day'! ;)

interestingly

BMW.fun is owned by BMW.de

but Mercedes.fun is owned by Radix still and still waiting on Mercedes Benz to get it for $1,500 a year.

I wonder how much BMW is paying yearly? lol

but as it stands BMW.fun points to nowhere.

That being said. I know how domainers feel about Brand cybersquatting and all that jazz but if Radix has done this? Then..........................................?

Think of all the Brands that are "fun" that have not yet secured their .fun domain and neither has Radix?

either way. it's a great tool to know that a big company like BMW has secured their .fun. I just wish they would have at least pointed BMW.fun to BMW.com at least or put something BMW related on it.

you take THAT plus show some potential buyer for your .fun that BMW is paying $14k or more a year to own that name?

well THAT shows VALUE.
