It's always the same concept:
Registration is 'cheap', renewal / transfer isn't.

Like 'baits for the fishes' - but at least we have 365 days to sell it before the 'critical day'! ;)

with such high renewal prices for the Radix reserved prices. The chances are GOOD for sell. NEVER FORGET to mention to all potential buyers you approach that YOUR .FUN has IMMEDIATE VALUE.

just keep handy a list of Radix reserved .fun domains that have high BIN and match Renewal.

You tell your buyer. you have SECURED the best .fun domain for the BEST PRICE POSSIBLE.

here's new ones

MathsGames.fun
Mathematic.fun

If you can't build a viable business on the name then don't register it. If the left of the dot and the right of the dot don't sound correct together then don't register it. Honestly I can't see very many companies wanting a .fun domain. .fun is a waste of money.

Same use to be said about .xyz and .io and .ly and but it is a brave new world. and Millennials and Hipsters and Yuccies and Big Corps do keep in their radar certain trends.

So NO ONE would WANT....

Sex.fun?
Casino.fun?
Fun.fun?
Games.fun?
Play.fun?
Toys.fun?
Sextoys.fun?
Cars.fun?
Vacations.fun?
Cruise.fun?
Cruises.fun?
Travel.fun?
Trip.fun?
Hawaii.fun?
Islands.fun?
Island.fun?
Tours.fun?
USA.fun?
Europe.fun?
Tropical.fun?
Beach.fun?
Girls.fun?
date.fun?
Love.fun?
Dating.fun?
Kiss.fun?
Food.fun?
Math.fun?
kids.fun?
kid.fun?
Drive.fun?
Driving.fun?
Dubai.fun?
Israel.fun?
Korea.fun?

These would be waste of money I'm sure lol.
I'd kill for any of thee above domains. lol

@ the time of writing this post. Regged Cater.fun

check out what's on Cater.com.:xf.wink:

Radix did reserve Catering.fun for $3,500 a year.

I checked earlier for Swimsuit.fun over at Whois.com
it was available. took long.

I'm guessing now that whois is front running. as immediately Swimsuit.fun was registered with a price of $3,500!

That is exactly what I'm talking about. What company would want swimsuit.fun? Garbage.

This one I don't know. It "can" work for a legit big corp. all we need to show some big corp is some other big corp that has owned or uses or registered a .fun as proof of "pratical" use of .fun.

Big Corps play "follow the leader" all the time.

So like I've mentioned. BMW.fun is now owned by BMW.de the corp. And BMW is huge! It's a household name in luxury cars. Everyone knows it. so when you tell them BMW bought BMW and is paying $14k a year to have it.

see it's like the idea of Rappers buying $2 million dollar Bugatti Veyron's

Then everyone wants one.

There's a show off jealousy factor in there.

Plus thee assumption exists that well "hey BMW is BIG. I'm small. So BMW has smart well paid people making decisions for them. So if they felt the need to own BMW.fun then maybe I should get this .fun domain that this domainer is selling to me that seems to be a perfect fit for my business. Plus this domainer is giving me a great One Time Payment of $x,xxx and afterwhich all I need to pay is $24/year."

That's way cheaper than what Radix is selling and renewing for their Reserved .fun domains.

Reason and Logic Rules over Doubt. Always.

But the domainer needs to point out this obvious IMMEDIATE VALUE.

if they don't then it all boils down to .fun vs. .com. and of course .com will win hands down.

but you gotta explain to your potential buyer that they "could" go and find some ridiculous "clever" domain or you can get a single word domain that is an exact match to a word that relates to their business.

like.

TimesharesAreGreat.com
or
Timeshares.fun

Then you show them these historical sles for the keyword Timeshares

timesharesforsale.com 20,000 USD 2015-09-21 Uniregistry
timeshares.ca 11,800 USD 2016-08-18 Sedo
timesharelaw.com 9,000 USD 2015-05-06 Uniregistry
timeshare.co.uk 7,751 USD 2015-07-13 Sedo
timeshares.co.za 3,000 USD 2016-08-30 Sedo
timeshares.fr 3,000 USD 2008-03-07 Sedo
timesharejobs.com 2,500 USD 2011-01-23 Sedo
timeshareresort.com 2,300 USD 2009-10-07 Afternic
beachtimeshare.com 2,167 USD 2012-08-18 NameJet
timeshares.co.nz 2,000 USD 2013-06-12 Sedo

At a $7 investment even if you sell for a quick $1000 which is very possible. That's still a great profit.

Another thing. The list above you can see are very specific geographically. like

.co.za (south africa)
.com.uk ( Britain)
.co.nz (New Zealand)
.ca (Canada)

but .fun? it's very generic. Fun is a word known in every English speaking country. Like USA,CANADA,Australia,England, etc etc.

you just add up the population of those countries and then tell your buyer this is the market for Timeshares.fun

plus the POINT of Timeshares is for a family to pay into it and they can pick and choose from a list of timeshares around the world. and usually the Gimmick most Timeshares tell potential customers is that

"We have timeshares all over the world at great and FUN Locations like.....

Hawaii
Fiji
Cancun
Bora Bora
Miami

All Fun Fun Fun for the Family"

and this is why Timeshares.fun would work.

.fun. if there is anything I know about the society we live in today. it's that people love to have FUN (to their ruin lol)

so I think the big corps know this too. so I think it will catch on more than any other new extension. plus it's a 3 letter extension. so easy to remember.

matter of FACT?

let's have FUN TONITE!

Tonite.FUN

Tonite is often used in advertising in the entertainment industry in the United States, for example on signs outside theaters displaying the evening's performances. Tonight is almost always used in most other contexts such as academia, politics, news media, etc. (uncountable)

to each his own. grab it. besides .us is limited to USA. it's not generic.

Time will tell. too soon to judge.

when .com first came out and cost $75 to reg no one was regging. let's pop the cork on .fun and let it breathe a bit.

Already contacting Radix CEO to discuss getting .fun domains to auction on their tab so to speak.

oh forgot to mention.

SweepStakes.Fun

Surprised Radix didn't get it.

if you check SweepStakes.com thee owner is asking $1-$2 million.

Estibot appraised SweepStakes.com at $251,000.

I wouldn't mind 10% of thee above prices for quick sale. lol

Goodnight.

They can reg .LOVE as well...

I had to come back to this one lol
As for .Us or .Love

Let's try the keyword "nightclub"

If I'm in the mood to party and go online do I just want to party in the US? or anywhere in the world ?

And as for Love?

Not really looking for love at the club.

Fun really is in a class of its own. many industries profit from providing Fun.

People look fun all the time.

I doubt people looking for keywords casino or bet or games are looking specifically for Love either.

.Fun really is promising. It's unfortunate that radix has chosen to price their reserved inventory at high ticket prices. But I believe in turning lemons to lemonade.

Realty.fun

Lol NEWS.

After checking out .Fun I'm discovering most keyword and combo keywords are being snatched up.

Odd how some say only reg words that "work" for .Fun

Yet people are registering what people are saying you shouldn't like:

CarInsurance.fun
Autoinsurance.fun
Insurance.fun( radix)
Fund.fun
FreeCreditReport.fun

Avatar629, you motivated me so I got the following:

Realty.fun

Nice one! RealEstate.fun was taking by radix. So was property.fun

Radix secured Finance.fun and slapped a $6,500/ renewal on it

But there is a recorded historical sale of Finances.com for $500k

So.....Finances.fun
(We make handling your finances FUN)

Also. Radix definitely tracking regs of .Fun because soon as I reg Shore.fun .....Shores.fun was snatched up by radix and they put a $3500 pricetag and renewal on it. True story

Lol that's pretty brazen!?!

But okay?

Lol

Me? I'll stick within the grey areas of 3L.fun

Forgive me guys.

MCD is .Fun!

TopGear fan here .

There are many RaceTracks all over the world people wish they could drive around on.

Why? Because it's business? NO! because it's FUN FUN FUN! Lol

Doing a around on these is .Fun either as a game or in real life.

People pay big money to do a day around these .

RaceTracks.com sold $49k
And the .com.au. sold $124.

Obviously .Fun is not and never will be .com.

But I'd take 10% of that $49k.

$6.88 to $4,900? That would be a great day.

.Fun is better than .Com.au as
Com.au is limited to Australia.

.Fun is generic. Can be used by any racetrack in the world as a good brand.

"Our RACETRACK is .Fun!"

4,707 registered as of today 104 yesterday so I would guess by reading all your posts of names regged most must be by domain squatters (lol)

Newsflash!

XBOX.FUN

Owned by Microsoft corporation!

So BMW and Microsoft ! Love .Fun.

gamesforgirls.fun

0.5% of that will be great:)

just trying

Hahaha

We'll look. Let's do some math.

Someone regged PlayStation.fun

If PlayStation was reserved by radix it could price it at from what I've seen about $14,000 or whatever yearly that is.

But that's yearly! So in 10 years that's $140k!

But if you secured it.

You let PlayStation know this.

Then quote them price of $14k one time fee.

I think most corps will gladly pay $14k one time as opposed to $14k for life.

Cheaper is better yes?

And I think my posts aren't the reason. Most on NP think I'm stupid anyways.

I think people are just smart of their own doing with no assistance from me. You give me too much credit!

Lol

Last real estate term out in the open.

Sold.fun

"Get it SOLD and have FUN doing it."

Now that I think of it. it can be for anything really. Like an auction site.
Or car site.

Captain Obvious says " .com's that have been owned since 1990's if it's single keyword is a good reg for .Fun"

Someone saw value in it that they never let it drop.

Tell that to your potential buyer.

And use hosterstats to show that aged dotcom's past. And show how many times it's been sold.

And was never dropped.

Example, teams.com

And mine Teams.fun (sports related or work related)
