Because serious type-in traffic on .com
That's why.

Let's discuss!

As mentioned GamesForGirls has serious type in traffic.

Which is why the dotcom's sold for $500k

So that keyword in

.Net?
.Org?
.Biz?
.Us?
.Games?
.Zone?
.World ?
.cn
.EU
.Asia
.ca
.me
.Top
.club
And finally....

.Fun?

gamesforgirls.fun

.com was sold for 500k

0.5% of that will be great:)

just trying

Holy monkey farts! How'd I miss that one!

Nice one! It's long but if as jurgen said tons of traffic.

Congrats.

And I doubt any TM issues.

Good luck! And have fun!

And why .05%?

10% is realistic if what judgement says is try.

But to be fair radix team seems to have secured mostly single word .Fun

Even plurals seem good bets to them.

Once sedo allows .Fun in auction. I'd request radix to make a $100 offer on it on sedo to get it to auction for free. And see what happens actually maybe $250.

It's a proven $500k term right jurgen?

Just defensive regs... Nothing will be launched there...
Their lawyers do that in almost all relevant TLDs...

Demand is minimal.

Volkswagen.fun
Audi.fun

Not available.

No grey areas here. So reg at your own risk.

Demand is minimal.

The registry reserved too many domains.
End users(if there are any) & domainers can't register the best or even the good domains.
I found just one good domain and registered it since it was the only one available & not reserved out of thousands...of domains I checked.
I can understand they are trying to make money but it is too much.

Thats good but the real good news is when the extension is in use by any of these companies....

Companies always make plenty of defensive regs across many TLDs, doesn't mean they have a genuine interest.

Obviously that goes without saying tell me something I don't know.

which is why these regs were assisted by the likes mark monitor and CSC corp.

The point of mentioning these was NOT that these companies did secure these. But brings up the question how many haven't ?

Especially those with generic brands names.

Most of these regs were not really necessary as most of these brands are so unique onto themselves there is no grey area.

There are many company names that are so generic that it can be used for businesses.

Mag.com is owned by PlayStation.

There letters.

I own mag.fun "grey area".

Can be used for magazine site.

If these .Fun regs were defensive regs did they reg all there other new extensions.

I think they pick a choose the best new extensions. The kind of full word extensions they want to align their business under .

Most companies make a promise of FUN whether stated or implied.

To the ram the point home.

Lamborghini.kitchen?
BMW.republican?
Microsoft.dance?
Xbox.attorney?

For a big corp to decide to own a new extension is has to have more reason than just brand protection. Or else they end up regging all the new extensions to come out every year.

.Fun is a promise or a hint of what users are about to click.

.Fun is the ultimate click bait.

Ranks right up there with all the dot adult extensions.
