Yes dot fun launched today, general availability - came out with a bit of a whimper. But I thought I would raise its profile with 'whats your best dot Fun names'.
I searched for words ending in F U N and there is none except for fun. So no word hacks.

I think? You should approach Emirates airlines with it.

But NOT Emirates.fun

Contacting the tourism board for uae or emirates would be best bet.

I would also Google all tour companies in the region.

It's very gimmicky.

Plus impress them with the idea that where else can you get a short 3 letter domain for under $1million?

Then show them all 3 letter domain sales on namebio.

Then show them how much radix is selling 3 letter domains plus the $14k yearly renewal.

Impress on them that buying from you is cheaper.

The UAE has always been trying to show the world that it is a travel destination. They have invested billions on aquariums,hotels,ski resorts (in the desert!)

But I have to tell you Arab NPers do say that Arabs are worst people to try and sell domains too. If you tell them you own uae.com and you want $10million they will just reg uaecountry.com or something ugly like that.

You said it was via auction? so someone owned it and literally tried to make a fast buck and sell it? and you got it for $10?

I'm confused. what domain marketplace is .fun being sold on? Godaddy? Sedo? Flippa?

I thought .fun was not even allowed yet on the marketplaces?

I just preregisterd them at godady before GA...then got emirates without auction...but uae got into auction...but I was the only bidder

Jeez! Thats all?? Thats like the best name possible in .fun! So as of right now that is the cap of .fun. Thats CRAP.

That name is worth more, and NGTLDs as a whole (the good names) are worth more! Hold the GD names! HOLD THEM!!

I don;'t disagree @Grego85 although when renewals are at premium rates there is a big incentive to find a buyer in first year.

Thats like the best name possible in .fun!

It is clearly a very good name, although I would argue there are many sort of similarly good names, such as More, Find, Great, Best, etc. in the .fun extension! (the ones I checked are all high premium prices and renewals though ).

Cameltoe would lead visitors to believe there is only ONE cameltoe on your site, and that's quite limiting - it's hard to build a business around one cameltoe.

Cameltoes, on the other hand, lets them know there are at least two cameltoes available on this domain, and quite possibly more. How many more? Visit, and find out!

I like it, really clever marketing. It inspires the click.
