Yes, we're introducing account balances with the introduction of our Payoneer integration.

At some point you will be able to handle all seller/registrar actions via our API including registering domains.

The API to offer DAN purchase options on your own service is available. You can submit an integrator request via support and when approved start using the service.

This is the first time I see these questions, here are the answers:

-Do you require ID?

1: We do not. However, we do perform KYC on all first time sellers.

- Do you track visitors? (real time IP) Do you track bidders ?

2: Yes

-Do you payout by Paypal? Wire?

3: Yes

-Can you show a list of past sales or top sales?

4: No - however, Over $1M a month in domains are sold at DAN.

-Do you allow rent only? Other people said you change whois during lease, and this is good.

5: We offer Lease to own and domain Rentals. Both options you can set within seconds in your account.

-How much info about sellers do you give to buyers?

6: You decide which info you show to your buyers in your Privacy settings. Once you have a sale, do note that your billing details will be shown on the automated generated invoices we send to your buyer.

-Can buyers contact sellers, during negotiation, or at other times?

7: Yes.

-If there are some past bids which didn't lead to a sale, then will past bidders be informed in case of auctions, or when a BIN price added?

8: At the moment we don't do this yet.

I would simply advice to create an account and test DAN.COM. A lot of the questions you raise would have been answered by doing that.

At minumum, you have to list 2 DAN nameservers for your domain. These are: ns1.dan.com and ns2.dan.com.

In your DAN settings, you can also enable "Automated Ownership Verification". Once enabled, you can add a 3rd nameserver as well (like verification-XXXXXXXX.ns3.dan.hosting), to speed up owner verification for domains that might have been listed earlier by previous users. This way you prove that you're the new owner, as you're the one that controls DNS settings for the domain.

Hmmm. There must be a party in the office of Dan the last couple of days. They keep moving out of my account one of my domains. I am telling them that I am the new owner. They move it in again. Couple of hours later I receive an email that they moved it out of my account to the account of the new owner. I am telling them again that I AM THE NEW OWNER. They put it back. Couple of hours later - they move it out again. What is happening with you, DAN support? Are you doing this on purpose for some reason or what? I have other domains that I already own and want to put them for sale in DAN but they are already listed there. I am afraid to ask them for their help. I dont know what they can do.

Check your dns record. If you bought it from someone else and haven't changed the dns records, it still might have the previous owner's records proving him/her as the owner.

What is the current minimum BIN price for domains listed at DAN? I remember when it got set to $100 minimum last summer. I'm trying to set some of my domains at low prices to move them. I can't go under $500 minimum. Is that new or is there some other setting that I'm missing?

The issue is from your settings. Set your default minimum under the sales settings. Once done, you can now change the minimum per domain name under the portfolio page.

This most certainly is possible. In order to upload a background visit your general settings. The left side window provides multiple options. Select seller profile and add the background image you wish to add.

This verification method at DAN works very well. A question I have is, whether this method could even be improved when your internal systems will be (re)querying authoritative DNS servers directly, instead of waiting for TTL to expire, at the moment a duplicate domain is added to a portfolio. Just a thought.
