Well, that's not correct. A German buyer that buys a domain from another EU based non-business seller will not pay any VAT. A German business buyer will also not pay VAT when buying from an EU based VAT registered business.

If what you raise is a content issue, please PM us a proposal of how you'd formulate that and we'll run it through our German translator for a check.

I'm talking about my position me as a German seller, of course
when I sell to a German there will always be VAT no matter if individual or business

I'm talking for me as a German seller's position of course, what else?

why do you overcomplicate stuff?

Sure, however, how do we know what the situation of the buyer is which lands on your landing page?

So without the buyer, submitting their full details in the first step of checkout, we cannot determine if there will be VAT applicable or not.

By the way, when a US buyer lands on your lander, they see no indication of VAT. Only when EU based visitors land on your for sale page, we indicate that VAT might be applicable.

are you not using country detection?

I'm talking for me as a German seller's position of course, what else?

why do you overcomplicate stuff?

Because for handling VAT multiple variables determine if VAT is applicable or not:

1: Location of buyer
2: Location of seller
3: Is the buyer a private entity or a VAT registered company

All these variables impact if you as a German seller have to collect VAT or not.

For example, your buyer is based in the US, you cannot charge VAT. Or your buyers is from the EU
but also a VAT registered company not based in Germany, no VAT can be charged.

So you being based in Germany and selling as a company does not define all rules for VAT collection. The buyer's situation also determines if you collect VAT or not.

Of course, we are, that's what we mention in the post you quote to determine if we show a VAT indication or not.

1) you detect buyer is from Germany
2) you know that seller is from Germany and is VAT registered (me)
as that's in the database

there is no exception
I will have to charge VAT

and every buyer knows that -business or individual- no matter what
and these buyers do not need an explanation of what a VAT is aka means
and it will be exactly 16% - not estimated

@DAN.COM

ok ,I see you have a highly sophisticated VAT handling system

and now you are so proud of it,
that you can't imagine that have overseen little but important details.

understandable.

( but please remember that was telling you how to do it before you had it. )

What I don't understand is,
that you think you got my message when you haven't.

you can detect a German buyer as well as you do know my details, all of them

now, why don't you do what is necessary to improve on the German conversions?

@DAN.COM

Do you have any option to showcase the domain portfolio to visitors/buyers with selective TLDs selection set by the domain seller?

I know you have the option of showing or not showing portfolio to others in settlings..but if i own 500 domains in my portfolio and i want to showcase only 350 nos .com only for a limited time to visitors and buyers as per my wish..so when buyer check the seller portfolio, they will see only .com domain untill the setting changed by me.

Let me know if this option is available or not..if not i would surely say lot of domain seller might be interested in this feature..

Thanks 😊

@DAN.COM I have been consistently requesting to integrate Payoneer payouts; is this possible?

I hope you get this done as quite a few people I know have Global payment services by Payoneer blocked from accounts after recent issues.

Can you please integrate Payoneer payouts?

That issue was resolved last week. If we work directly with Payoneer or not we cannot share with you at this point.

Fair enough; Please do forward this to your team as a feature request if possible.

Integrating Payoneer will solve a lot of hiccups for us.

If you can integrate BTC payouts can't see why it wouldn't be possible for Payoneer.

@LaszloSchenk @DAN.COM Using Payoneer Global payout information, which provides US bank details with Routing Number, what can We write the field which requests BIC / SWIFT code ?

Also, shall we choose USA ( International Wire) or Rest of the World?

Also, Payoneer Global service has the following conditions:

Guidelines
Use for local bank transfers within the US in USD via the ACH network
Only payments for business transactions are supported
Payments must be made from registered businesses only; payments from individuals will be declined
Payments made from a personal or company account you own will be declined
Wire transfers are not supported

The settings say USA(International Wire), so does this mean you dont provide ACH payments?

Thank you @LaszloSchenk for the consideration..

This feature will be good for domain sellers as majority have garbage domains in many extension and enabling this feature will have the domain seller to control the domain extension..

Have a great time and look forward to see it in future..😍

Always use EUR currency, if you have a USD card with Payoneer you can easily transfer funds from EUR to USD card.

That is what I did before with them so I was just wondering if they started sending payments to Payoneer in USD.

Just an update - the Payoneer payout that was released AFTER the issue was resolved by DAN.com just cleared and hit my account.

@DAN.COM still looking forward to Payoneer integration, I am surprised why no one has requested this before.

We have requested many times before but I dont know why it is taking so long for Dan to integrate. Did you receive in Euros?

Yes, as far as I know DAN only supports EUR payouts for Payoneer
