No one seems to care about any other names except CHIPS?

I am not a CHIPS person as I cannot predict the trend of chips in the future so I stick with what I know well for the moment (So I can sleep at night!!!)

Just sold an LLL .us yesterday on Afternic for $1,000 after listing here and no one wants to offer even $50 but I can sleep at night with my non chips.

Beside with chips crazy pricing it would take a lot of money to invest so I stay out for now.

Good luck to chips fans.

Maybe I've been away too long, but I have no idea what CHIPS is, or are. Can someone elucidate me?

You don't really want to know.

'Tis a "Chinese Premium", or a domain containing no vowels or the letter v.

Takes a bit of getting used to initially, granted.

I wouldn't have asked if I wasn't if I wasn't curious. :)

Wow! The hunt for gold is getting very desperate.

Or, depending on which side of the Atlantic you live on, they're either fried potatoes or . . . another kind of fried potatoes.

Chips here Gareth.
Chips to me are fries to you then I think. Unless you're in a casino, in which case they're . . .

OK I'll stop, let's get back to domains.:lookaround:

Actually you are not alone. I don't understand much about the logic behind this massive interest in the so-called chips. My focus has always been the same: does a domain name mean something that an end user company can use to brand their business.

DIPS would be a more interesting discussion.

Someone can start with guacamole.

A good alternate topic for discussion would be the many ways to beat a dead horse.

Having 200 Chinese premiums " chips ..or whatever" - llll.com it's been a long wait since 07 to cash in having sold 2 at $2800 each recently as I now begin to sell..

with the remainder if I can keep getting 2.8k+ that will take me just over 550k this year.

Loving chips..

I have to ask; are these end users, or simply domain collectors? If it's end-users, I'm still not sure if I understand the fuss over hard to brand, nonsensical combinations of letters. If it's domain collectors, I get the pointless nature of buying something with little potential to pawn off to other another domain collectors that you may catch out, or is desperate to find the next big (pseudo) wave in the hope of cashing in.
