I think np should find more enduser to come to np.

I vote for np authority to invest 100k not of our money into advertising toward endusers so we all sell here names for more money and it all go to our pocket. but we still will say thank u np authority

Agree with your point. Create buyer request and never active to respond the inquiry is totally only waste other times.

Most of them probably only want to get ideas and have no intention to buy. I think moderator could restrict buyer request, especially for new member or old member without transaction history in namepros by asking additional KYC and prove their real budget

Sometime charge a certain fee is better to prevent fake request and reduce bad activity.

Lets say, if member open thread a buyer request and they said have a total budget $10,000, NP can ask them 3% 5% - 10% fee Or pay $300 $500 - $1000 as upfront cost, where this fee should to be paid to Namepros before their thread published .

When there is a final deal ,this cost go to namepros. Term and policy like this usually reduce fake request up to 90% .

Just my 0% ideas

I have such requests via mail sometimes. I reply to keep watching the domain and maybe one day it will get listed on a liquidation auction (spoiler alert: it never will).

Yes. NamePros Marketplace, with features whatever is missing in other platforms.

I wonder if it might be helpful to consider having two Buyer Request sections, one for investors seeking names at wholesale pricing, and one for end users or their representatives seeking names and willing to consider near retail pricing. Of course the requirement to give a budget should remain. And I realize that any division is fuzzy for some requests.

yea why not
but they would need to get endusers

or maybe more come if np one big market???

maybe

so np like they did for landers they can now make one big market... and just add option for each member to add domains to market.. no more for auction posts.. bin etc.. everyone manages market names like landers now

cool huh

what u think @Eric Lyon

this can totally attract more endusers

hell np can make money off fees per sale. even do own escrow etc

just push sold name to mod... mod get paid.. and pay buyer later.. and take fee
no?

•••
we all used to it
but when u think about it having actual posts to sell stuff is kinda outdated silly way

one big searchable market way better

start slow.. basic add options..
then add offer.. bin.. escrow... crypto... etc...

alcy this is actually good idea
I know.. ty

let's go mods

let's so this

retire per post sales
bring in the new

NAMEPROS MARKET

one to rule em all

Buyer requests is really a desperate / distressed seller section, where no seller wants to admit they're desperate, but still hope the buyers here behave like endusers.

This is a post from 2018 (shown in the 'Similar threads' section). Not much has changed since:

Well, personally, I see NamePros as more of a wholesale platform, but with end-users and retailers lurking in the shadows waiting to pounce on a great bargain they feel they can flip in the aftermarket for a profit. There's already a lot of buyers that frequent and monitor NamePros for good wholesale deals and some even pay retail on NamePros.

I mean, you have seen sales happen daily in the NamePros marketplace (Mostly wholesale, but a few retail). For closer to retail/aftermarket sales, check out some of the reported sales from NamePros landers: https://www.namepros.com/threads/re...-name-sale-from-namepros-lander-here.1366151/

I don't think the problem is buyers eyeballs (NamePros is the largest and most active domain related community in the world). It's more about the quality of the domains, which results in those buying eyeballs pulling the trigger to acquire them.

I've always been a big believer that regardless where one lists their domain for sale, if it's of good quality and in a niche with trending demand, serious buyers will find it and it will receive offers/inquiries.

Large portfolio holders always have great examples of that, with domains that sit for years and then, all of a sudden, BAM! a serious buyer reaches out with little to no negotiating and buys one of their domains, that was on an inhouse lander in their portfolio and not even syndicated on aftermarket networks.

You wanted my personal opinion and the above is it.

As for the domain buyer requests... A quick search shows several threads about it. I'll list them below for reference, but the top 3 appear to have moderator engagement in them, so they may contain the best answers to domain buyer request questions that have already been addressed by moderators.

all good points as always
but...

1.. np lander sale even if enduser dont have much to do with enduser eyeballs on our np sale posts ;)

2... there may be some enduser lurk here.. but u know how it is... the more the better.. so I keep my point that we should find ways.to bring more in... I dunno like come to namepros for best deals car sticker haha

3.... what about my market idea.. abolish all sale posts.. less crowded for posts... and more... modern.. with cool bigass market.. see my post above.

ty
hope your beard grow well.

So, its better to have the marketplace under a different name and have the NP membersnlist their names there isolating the retail NP from wholesale NP? But i am sure it not that easy. May be NP can charge a low fee there, like 1% 😉.?

yea
like I said many options
thry dont have to have full scale market from start.. like landers... start basic. keep adding.. u can add fees.. escrow.. makenoffer..bin.. etc.. hell u can even add option to switch dns to np lander so this way they get even more lander users.. and we know how np love those huh @Eric Lyon hehehe

plus imagine all those posts gone from new post screen... now half posts is sales.. and half of those arent really read.. cause we all know the shit people sell here..

anyway justmake big market.. everyone add their folios..

put in search bar.. make all sales here...

I think it's cool

I'd do my own market site.. butcant code plus its stupid cause I start from 0 members... and np got 1000s

there.. hope it get done one day..

just an all in sale market solution on np.. inhouse.. like the lander menus a bit..

I think good idea..

just imagine u go now to market ... search what u want.. all member folios there... bins... make offer.. auctions.. etc..

like isaid selling via posts is kinda old school.. ugly.. inefficient..

Funny you should mention stickers... I actually researched, analyzed and wrote about that here: https://www.namepros.com/threads/ha...th-your-domain-portfolio-url-on-them.1355134/

You've made some interesting suggestions and I'm sure that NamePros is watching, monitoring, researching, and always thinking about the different ways to scale, grow and engage. :)

Though, while they'll probably still be seen in this thread/section, suggestions might be better suited in the feedback and suggestions section of NamePros: https://www.namepros.com/forums/suggestions-and-feedback.404/ ;)

yep... but then of course the questions arises.. if market idea is so cool and doable then why in 2025 we are still with no market ;)

Sometimes, things aren't as easy as they may seem, otherwise, everyone would be doing it. ;)

Hi

there are plenty of endusers here already

but they aren’t going to wave the eu flag and get spammed to death with submissions that don’t fit criteria and inflated prices

imo….

I listed a domain for appraisal help/thoughts and received a PM asking about the lowest I would take for it. I am not mad about the person that did it but I see no reason to just jump to me setting my lowest price. I would rather it sit on my roster for seven more years.
