Yes, you have to become a logo designer yourself on BB. Then you can submit your own logos with your domains.

If I'm not mistaken, the inventory dropped from the 12,800s yesterday down to 12,703 at present.

Almost definitely due to someone (or multiple people) removing their names from BB due to no or low sales. I personally have picked up at least 2 domains that were previously on BB and were allowed to expire. Now I have those same names listed.

If I'm not mistaken, the inventory dropped from the 12,800s yesterday down to 12,703 at present.

It was dropped from 12,813 to 12,612 when I saw yesterday. Maybe they removed sold domains.

@trelgor - Thanks for asking the question.

"keyword rooted" vs "keyword based" appear to be used in the same context on many posts.

From glancing through the BB categories "Invented" and "Keyword", it appears several "keyword rooted" names fall under either category.

A "2W" (2 word) keyword combo almost always falls under the "Keyword" category is what I have observed, whereas, "seed keyword" mash ups seem to be more subjective and fall under either category.

Curious about people with sales of late - do you use BB nameservers and their custom landing page, or just point (forward) to your regular BB landing page (www.brandbucket.com/[brand])?

I wonder which converts better?

I haven't had any sales yet (8 accepted), but I have set BB name servers to point to them.

Domain Sold!

Listed on Brandbucket in March. Advised of the sale and I transferred the domain to BB on the 8th June. Funds received to my Paypal account today (10th June).

I'd rather not state the name as I don't really like the idea of the purchaser finding the name listed and being analysed on forums/websites, but I hope the timescales help interested members here.

It seems they are struggling with the "Logo Pending" phase. All my domains have been stalled there for a while now. But its ok. At least I know they will get published someday. The approval phase is really the most important one. Once we know its approved, the delays are not as critical.

Hi, I was just curious s to what the difference was as kind f don''t understand and wasn't sure it was an option? When mine got excepted I jut went to GoDaddy and changed nameserver to www.brandbucket.com/nameofdomain ...What was the other option?...do you mean setting up links to your specific names and sending people to www.brandbucket.com/profile/username...?

You just redirected the domain. Didn't use Nameserver change.

How to Change Name server in Godaddy:

Login to Godaddy

Goto -> Domains -> Manage My domains

1. Select the domain names you want to modify.
2. From the Nameservers menu, select Set Nameservers.
3. Under Setup type, select Custom.
4. Select Add Nameservers.
5. Enter the two nameservers your hosting provider gave you.
6. Click Save.

I agree, and FWIW I'd prefer Zoomful over ZoomFull any day of the week. TBH well done to them for finding far superior versions of names others have listed. Shame the owner of the inferior name didn't pick up the better version since it obviously was or became available to handreg.

Zoomful wasn't available at the time Zoomfull was registered. Zoomful dropped and was picked up in March.

Sidenote: I just hand regged Zoomfully...

FWIW my last sale on BB was exactly 8 week ago. I have 237 names live now. My portfolio is very heavily skewed towards pure brandables, and I think it's very likely that keyword names far outsell pures on BB. This is backed up by my own sales to date. I'm trying to diversify my portfolio to both pure and keyword brands with applications across multiple niches/industries, and I think that would be wise for other sellers also.

It would be great for BB to give us some stats and figures on what's happening in the sales channel @michaeljkrell @AndrewRice, and provide aggregate details such as average name length, top niches (based on brand tags with BB) etc. to help us identify names more likely to sell. I think this should be part of any education program - monthly stats showing the breakdown of sales (ex. sales number of course) would be really useful, and help to identify new trends as they appear.

The DomainHoldings.com quarterly reports are very good in this regard, and I expect you could also re-purpose this data for use by buyers as well.

I think the only reason they aren't selling is that no one can find them. All keyword based names are searchable within their system so names pop up that are either full keyword or partial keyword based. Your names don't organically pop up within their search system. BB just needs to figure out how to get them seen and they will sell. In the first few years of BB's existence this is the only type of name they used to sell so there is a market for them then and now. Obviously they only had 1,500 names back then so it was easy for them to be seen because a name would sit on the first page for weeks at a time.

Your name Devixa is a good example of a name that will never be seen by the right buyer. The keywords that BB has on this name is adult, date, devilish, elegance, fun, relationship, style, vixen. When I see this name I see the keywords, Development, App, Design, Marketing, just to name a few. If the wrong keywords are placed on a name then that name will never ever be seen.

Three weeks for logo? I guess I was lucky as my first domain listed there was in the logo process within 3 days after fee and everything, and was up after 2 days from there.

Although I have no news so far (after 2 days) on my latest approval which went to logo phase. Let's see what happens.
