I agree.
And probably obsess most... as I work with numbers for a living and am asked daily by managers to benchmark/trend process metrics for decision making purposes. Point taken.
From my observations... those starting in a new venture (myself included with brandables) tend to focus on details to better understand what's "normal", successful, and provide themselves a sense of stability or direction as they pursue success. Sometimes blind faith, sometimes foolishness I must admit. Those with more experience (dv82) have confidence in the model and look at the bigger picture with more ease. A gift.
Quality being subjective based on personal taste, but more objective as you gain experience with having a longer history of sales / observations / market insight.
@dv82 - thanks for your post... curious, do you sell outside the 3 brandable sites? Or do you let the 3 sales channels handle the peddling while you focus exclusively on acquisition and building your portfolio? (appreciate your insights)
Also, if you don't mind sharing... what size portfolio do you carry?
Thanks,
-Jim
