Today BB did another round of reviews, I had submitted 19 domains back on December 7th, 13 names approved, I have over 50 domains still in Q waiting for review which I have added since December 7th. For a heads up, it looks like it's best to submit domains in bulk all on the same day, now I will have to wait for the next round of reviews and then wait again...

They've been accepting a handful+ of names everyday lately. I follow them on Twitter, where they always announce their new names.

@JudgeMind so you don't think they are reviewing names on a strictly first come, first serve basis?

I've submitted 8 names over the past couple weeks, all of which I think are strong, but I submitted them on 3 or 4 separate occasions. I just regged another, Zennly, that I plan to submit but maybe I should wait til I have a bigger batch. What do you think?

Yes for me they are not reviewing all of my domains I had 59 submitted and they only reviewed 19. Best to submit in bulk imo

That's promising, My earliest domains were submitted on December 16 on BB, so hopefully it wont be too long before they review the following weeks submissions...

Does anyone know how many total domains BrandBucket has listed now? The number must be quite high.

8779 names is listed now

Well that there is a lot of names.... I wonder how many they had.. 3 months ago.

You've got to figure their sell-through rates have declined, unless their popularity with end-users is really taking off due to BB marketing efforts and/or word of mouth.

That also means they've taken in ~$88,000 in upfront fees: not insignificant, it could pay a couple employees' salaries.

I had over 20 names listed and did not pay a listing fee for even one, use the VOTE feature to gain credits that can be applied to listing fees

Ability to delist / relist domains without contacting someone would be nice. Removing forward is not working any more.

I also used the VOTE feature to get free listings at BrandBucket, they have been going through my submissions this week very quickly, accepted roughly 10% of my submitted names.

Had 7 Domains accepted this week , out of 72 submitted..

Because of the long wait I had submitted many of them to Namerific already and had received acceptance/rejections from quite a few of them...

What is interesting is Namerific rejected three of the domains BrandBucket did accept.

There is no winning formula here, everything is subjective...

I guess the moral of the story is that it is worth submitting to as many marketplaces as possible.

Perhaps you should start a competing brandable name platform, which does better with acceptance times? There certainly seems to be room for it!

Great Idea...

overall, great experience, but the last 3 weeks, I've sent very brandable names aka droidek, clothable, qlothes, payrack, youstub. & more which I was sure would be accepted --> all rejected... had quite a few accepted also though..

me as well, had 14 names declined all very brandable, most now accepted on Namerific. Not certain what the reason is for this sudden change in acceptable domain names.

I think it might be they are getting too many submissions, and so they are being very ruthless with the 10% rule, I guess it wont apply per person, but perhaps per quota they get through each day - they can only accept 10% (this is just a guess based on their policy on their homepage which mentions the figure), and so if they've already approved a bunch of brandables before yours are looked at, perhaps they cant then approve more... I dont know...

Or maybe its all according to their need if they already have a bunch of fashion relating brandables that arent selling quick, they only want to stock up on more of the tech related or startup names that do sell for example...

would be better if they didnt simply decline them, as i now will not be able to resubmit for later

@JudgeMind that's a good point , although they may appear in votes for others so maybe through that 'backup' system, those domains will eventually be accepted as they receive more votes over time.

sold my first domain recently. Only 19 domains listed. It took me 6 months since my first submission. This particular domain took only 2 months to sell.
