Matt,

The biggest improvement I see is that the new templates are one click landers instead of two. They will get more clicks and revenue.

The templates are very simple looking which is good for parking pages. I like the no image template. It needs some related links to the right and/or bottom.

I hope we still have the option to add our own related links and to change the title. I miss adding our own pics.

The inquiry system is very important to me because I sell a lot of my names from the landing pages. Looking forward to it and the new templates!

looks good matt! great work and cant wait to test them out!

i have to agree we should get more clicks on 1 click landers.. cant wait see how a couple volume names i have do on these.

i think having an option for sales page is a good idea, there are some names i dont intend to sell and some that are.

the image topic, are we going continue to have an option in cropping our own images into new system? or just for template images?

I don't see any For Sale link? Perhaps you could show a template which has it? Where does it go?

Of the four shown, I Iiked the Business Woman template the best. I don't really see the need to repeat the same link 2 or 3 times on the same page. Which made this template the cleanest, imho.

I think there could be a vast improvement if we were allowed to post some text above the sponsored listings.

I'd also like to see a copyright notice at the bottom.

The templates are very nice, but so are the present ones with the advantage of choosing my own pictures. My revenue has plunged so low with the changes in the feed that you introduced 2 months ago that my enthusiasm has also dropped to an all time low. All I can say is "que sera, sera" What will be, will be.

I just hope the switch to the new template system wont bring revenue down.
Overall i learned to be afraid of any upcoming changes.

In this situation, I would employ a different philosophy: Waiting for feedback this late in the process in order to make the templates better is kind of like asking someone how to improve the ride of a car after it's already been built but before they get to drive it. Trying to get feedback from users on what's basically a finished product before they even use the templates will only yield minor cosmetic responses. Why not make them available for use now and get ongoing feedback as a Beta test. They will never completely satisfy everyone, anyway, but ongoing testing with comments posted here would help everyone know which templates are performing best with what kinds of domains. Who knows, there may be one template that really shines, but we won't know that until we use them. Plus, it will be somewhat easy to moniter performance changes when any layout changes occur. If I'm averaging $5 per day with, say, Template #1, and a change is instituted that immediately lowers my average to $3 per day, that tells you not to make the change (or it could be vice-versa).

A few days ago, you sad: "I am still preparing the disclaimer to make sure domain owners are protected from any legal issues regarding the sale of his/her domains." While this may sound spiffy, it's both unnecessary and unrealistic, especially if the inquiry just goes directly to the owner. From that standpoint, the only disclaimer you would need, if any, would be that Bodis takes no responsibility for the sale of any domain....that it doesn't guarantee ownership, transfers, payments, escrow, implied agreement or whatever. Bodis is merely an introduction service for buyers and sellers. That is, unless you are consideing going back to the Sedo-like system where you are actively involved and profiting from any sale, which would be much more complex and time-consuming. (Which system are you going with?)

Additionally, the type and placement of the inquiry system is pretty important, not just cosmetic. I would recommend you use the Bodis v1 approach or model it after Fabulous. Make it simple and obvious. That means much less work for you, and much better results for us.

I have been testing Bodis recently with a few domain names, and I must say I like very much the elegant, plain templates.

While full automatization is desirable for some domain names, it is not always feasible for all. What I would suggest is that in Bodis 2.0, for templates with pictures, the option to choose pictures manually should be kept - as an option, not mandatory.

Anyway, although revenue has been minimal for domain names parked there until now, I see definitely a potential and I will keep an eye on Bodis, and possibly send more domain names.

Please can you keep the ability to set our own related keywords on the new templates. This is one function that is great about Bodis that some other parking companies don't have.

Those 'automatic' keyword template systems are great, but without the ability to enter a number of manual keywords, you get a domain that is about 'tiger woods' for example, showing keywords about tigers and giraffes; thus resulting in no clicks!

Manually e-mailing lists of keywords over is a real bind too.. hope you don't go down that route :)

You will continue to be able to set custom keywords. That will not currently have any changes.

I know what you are saying about tigers for tiger woods hehe. I don't think you'll ever get keywords like that in our automated system once we support adding domains without keywords. I can't get into it, but once the feature is supported it should speak for itself. It'll work differently than other parking systems.

Getting away from custom photos is something I've been looking forward to for a long time. I've worked out the advantages vs the disadvantages, and the disadvantages of KEEPING a custom photo system are quite enormous. I've never thought of it like this before, but I think it all comes with experience.

I wouldn't be surprised if other domain parking companies drop the feature as well this year.

getting out of custom keywords will be a bad for bodis and us of course
i wish i was wrong but if you ever change this then i m sure revenue will drop resulting in users not bringing domains to bodis

I kinda agree with on!SPOT. I think there are so many variables that any resulting keywords are going to be a mess.

I'm still looking to see an example of a page with the For Sale link.

Like I said, it won't be changed until the automated system is good enough to the point where people are not interested in using custom keywords. There's nothing special about custom keywords that an automated system cannot figure out. It just takes more development time. Also, if it were to happen, it would be a gradual change with A/B optimization, not an overnight switch.

As far as the inquiry goes, I can pm you an example if interested of the inquiry page.

well i disagree on this one.
Lets say there is a domain related to local news, so it has targeted visitors.
No development engine can know what news are running for any part of the world real time, i just go and update my keywords once a day and i see difference in my ctr.
There is no way this to be done automatically.
Thats why i love bodis and thats why is so different, it lets me take control.

Wouldn't a better keyword be "Breaking News", so that you don't have to update it?

Also, you can update it from the master keyword as well, which would give you related keywords based on that master keyword.

Although, your scenario is one in thousands.

If I don't remove all the clutter that I put there in the first place, I'd have to hire a team. And you know what that means.

Matt. You sent me the For Sale page. But what I want to see is where this link appears on the landing page. It isn't shown in any of your examples.

It's been so long since Bodis v1 disappeared and took the For Sale inquiry with it that every time I see it asked for now, I hear 'So bye, bye Miss American Pie" playing in my head.
