We all have our domains listed at several marketplaces.

However it is only smart to list a name with a BIN at one marketplace at a time so as not to get stuck in a situation where a domain is purchased at two markets simultaneously.

Yes, I know the chance of this happening is rare.

Now for the question and the Poll.....

When listing your domains for sale at markets with a BIN, which market, in your opinion, gives the best results.

In other words, in your experience, what market has resulted in the most sales from listing names with a BIN only?

I am leaving out the brandable marketplaces because they are specialists.

We are talking about the major, general markets only.

Only one answer is allowed, so pick the one you think is best even if two are very close.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
The one that charges the least amount of fees, has in house escrow and a large audience.

Sedo is harder to sell on though.....Flippa is cheapest with $9 auction. Sedo's auctions are $59 right?

IF you get an offer on Sedo, you can push to an auction for free (at least years ago it was this way, don't know if it is the same now)...

^^ I think you're right on that now that I recall.

Stay on track people!

The question was------

In your experience,

What market has resulted in the most sales from listing names with a BIN only?

Hi

most sales with bin's or most sales with highest bins?

cuz most sales with $10 BIN may not be better than most sales with $1,000 bins or higher

and....

it depends on quality of names listed at each venue and the BIN price of each name, respectively.

so, you wouldn't want to conclude, based on variables that are not specified.

just saying.....

but, from my experience, i'd say sedo

and there are variables for why i say that too

:)

imo....

Excellent points.

I guess I am looking at this from the perspective of an experienced domainer.

For the purposes of this Poll let's assume we are talking about good domains listed by experienced domainers and listed with reasonable BIN prices.

@biggie Thanks for pointing that out.

Afternic/GoDaddy has the largest distribution by a long shot, especially for BIN names.

NamePros???? :)
Afternic/GoDaddy - works fine.

I didn't include NP because NP is primarily a wholesale or reseller marketplace and not a place for end user BIN sales.

I forgot to make the distinction in my original post.

Sorry.

End users are becoming wise about purchasing domains and we're seeing more of them come to NamePros to get good deals on Domains.

Added to your poll since voters want to choose the option. ;)

Really, wow, I didn't know that.

How can you be sure they are end users?

Thanks @Eric Lyon

when they make a website with the name they bought here, then that makes them an end-user.

imo......

Make Bidders ID's public, at least to other bidders.... ::protest sign here::

They say so. ;) I've seen it in WTB and PM deals when the buyer/seller adds me to the PM to facilitate its closing, help with general questions about how deals are made on NamePros, and to oversee that the rules are followed. End users are more likely to ask us for help in deals than domainers because end users aren't as familiar with domain transactions.

Hope that helps,

Best is afternic from my experience.

I think it also depends which registrar your domains are with. If they are not at GoDaddy, then Afternic is a great way of accessing their customer base.

If they are already registered and listed at GD, then listing at Afternic offers less advantages. Perhaps then list your BIN's on Sedo?

Also, now if you have your domains at Namesilo, BIN prices give you the option of offering buyers a payment plan, plus very reasonable commission rates.

I'm not sure about that one actually as I haven't tried it with any of them myself.

Perhaps someone else here has experience of this?

Yes I suppose it's possible GD has a deal with it's resellers to list their domains on the main GD site.

I highly doubt it.

Why doubt such a simple thing? GoDaddy resellers are part of the AfternicDLS network, along with GoDaddy.com. So, if your domain is at a reseller it can be opted into our Fast Transfer network and it can be sold through one of our resellers.

One thing I was wondering was, if you have your GoDaddy domains listed with a BIN price on the Afternic network, is it safe to also have them listed with a BIN price on GoDaddy premium listings?

If a domain sold through one of those methods, would it be automatically removed from the other right away?
