Just checked. Prices are from Name.com

cy.tv Available $7766.25
fr.tv Available $7766.25
mv.tv Available $8175
tr.tv Available $6812.23

Honestly prices seems too high to me. Maybe FR is the one with a realistic regfee.

FR stands for French almost everywhere, so I guess you are wrong...

??
What do you mean?
I'm saying that FR.tv has a realistic regfee and others don't.

I think you've put this information up because you can't take the temptation any more!!!LOL

We've all been sat watching FR.tv (France) at this price, as we have the other 'biggie' TR.tv (Turkey) and wondering who will be first to break and 'bag-it'.

There was a similar situation a few weeks ago over BE.tv - the name sat there for a while at $6700 before someone noticed it and registered it.

The two-letter names like this are pure 'gold' - especially now we know that there are more than 400 of the only 676 possible being held back by the registry - and almost all the rest are taken by serious endusers.

I doubt these will be available for long - even at these prices

...and once they are gone, they are $30 renewals, so they may not come back for quite some time!!!!

Those are a small fortune. Quality keywords are better IMO and much cheaper in most cases!

I saw those and could not pull the trigger because of finances right now. However, if I had the money, I would buy FR.tv without hesitation. It's not like a UK.tv or US.tv but a real strong one.

Agree, great advice from some here for *someone else* to spend 6-8k on these names.

I think its a good investment. I have a lot of great keywords but my biggest sale to date was with a LLL.TV , I know it is probably because of the company name, but this is a whole country CCTLD, the official language in 30 countries with over 250 million speakers in 2005 (I guess about 300 million now including France and 50% of Canada) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/French_language , also almost a 100 acronyms http://acronyms.thefreedictionary.com/FR and I think its a lot better then some of the 1K-8K premium keywords left, and better then TR or CY. But I guess everybody has their own feelings regarding the name. Thanks for your comments! :tu:

i wish could afford to buy myself such a good xmas present, i think its strange that the registry would hold back names considering their contract expiry date ? if you were them wouldn't you try and make the sales now ?

good luck with fr/tv

You beat me to it! I was like should I? hmm chrise is just around the corner - so I held off.

Funny how http://en.tv/ points to a Dutch tv portal, and their ccTLD http://nl.tv/(only natural of course!)

Seems like the Dutch webdev's love these short ll ccTLd codes. :imho:

Not many would see en.tv as an abbreviation for a country, more commonly means english rather than england.

Congratulations. You have a great, great, name.

I'll go with "good, good", name.

I would expect perhaps mid $xxx to high $xxx from someone that really needed the name.

I would say someone only willing to pay $xxx is not someone that really needed the name.

...
Personally, I'm not sure what to make of LL.TV - they seem to be Trophy names unless you are a legitimate company where it makes sense: DM/HP/GM/LG etc I wouldn't think anyone would ever use FR as France. For a start we're in the 3L country codes now which were created to have a better visual relationship to the country.

Check a passport.. it'll have FRA in it.

I'm not going to question anyone selling MTS for 31K (or Metal for 16K) though. It is what it is. A RARE combination that could potentially be a bargain.

I don't need the name and have no development plans for it, but would still pay $2k for it right now. So I think you may be a bit off.
