.tv Verisign did not release everything. Something else up their sleeve ?

By now everyone knows about all the changes within .tv. Verisign offered premium names at greatly reduced prices and eliminated premium renewals. BUT, they did not make 1 and 2 Letter and 1 and 2 number .tv available. Of course there are 676 LLL.tv and 100 NNN.tv. Some obviously are already registered. There were probably around 300 LLL.tv regged and maybe 30 to 40 NNN.tv registered. So you could register names like Media.tv and Satellite.tv and Surfing.tv, but not and LL.tv or NN.tv.

Some of these names will be in the Sedo auction starting April 1.

Now last year both .biz and .de released 1 and 2 character names. Now with .tv these names were available before unlike these extensions which never allowed registration.

In March Nominet announced they will release 1 and 2 character .co.uk.

So it looks like Verisign wants to hold these back for another special auction. IMO

2Character.tv are available for $500 for the most part. These would be names with one letter and one number, which some people might find to be useful.

Yes, Equity, i noticed that as well. The LL's are mostly held back.

The most logical/likely explanation is that they are planning a serious of auctions.

Regarding premium numbers there used to be around 50k domains on the premium list, now it is around 23k, was the entire 27k difference names that were changed to non premium pricing (reg fee)? I'm wondering if there is scope for further keyword auctions or not.

I picked up the two character 4D the other day.

I guess we will just have to wait and see about the remaining 'reserved list' domains.

No Snoop, I think declassifying the 3 character alone took thousands off the list.
