This morning I read that Auction.com has rebranded to TEN-X.com . I don't get it, but maybe you can make sense of it. I can't see this as an improvement.

Here's a link to the article. Full Story

" Ten X " or a variation is being heavily used in social media .

Insert ... Grant Cardone.

I wonder if they're going to sell auction.com? Could probably get a fortune for it.

I don't think they will sell it.

Ten-X. Not tenks (TenX).

" At 29, he made his first acquisition which was a single-unit property that initially performed well but soon became a disaster when his occupancy rate turned to zero after the original tenants moved out. Years after that experience, he acquired a thirty-eight unit complex and never purchased another single-family property as an investment ever again. "

Diversification in one location is what I read here. And a sense of conviction and growth I quite like. So imo It makes sense to use the hyphenated version (atleast for now) to amplifiy and/or clarify the message. Maybe they'll switch to their shortest version later on.

I think moves like this are good for domainers as it further validates a trend toward the use of brandable, symbolic domain names.
