Do you think that maybe your just spending way to much time in front of the computer? Your constantly on the internet trying to work out ways how to make a million dollars from the internet, just like the other 100 million of us?

Does your girlfriend or boyfriend hassle you, saying all you do is stare at the computer screen, well mine does!

When your a Domainer, Webmaster, Affiliate Junkie, Ebayer, Poker Player, Online Gambler or any of the money makers that search the net looking for ways to make a easy million dollars, it is so easy to get hooked or addicted to the internet. Maybe your that not badly addicted, but sometimes I am sure that alot of you readers may consider that your internet lifestyle is a problem.

Maybe you are working on your websites, and searching for good domains from the time you wake up in the morning, until the early hours of the following morning just like I do sometimes. You might spend all day drinking coffee, tea, coca cola, chain smoking cigarettes, slouching on your chair, eating your main meals in front of your computer.

Well thats just not healthy is it? But do you care? Probably not, becuase the day goes that quick and you probably think that you wont be doing this for the rest of your life! But maybe you will!

Some good points, Billy ... and I'm definitely addicted - but in a controlled way :p - to both domain names, and our lively #1 Nameprosโ„ข IMHO. :music: :talk:

PS. It may be best to post in one of your existing linked promotional or Advertising threads for your dnboard.com (informational link below): :gl:

I got a Commodore 64 when I was 7 ... I am young fortunately.

When I was 7 I was so charmed by the Commodore (and by Flimbo's Quest if you remember) that I wanted to create games.

Well, I am awful at programming still, but I enjoy the possibilities the internet gives me.

And yes, sometimes I stay for 18-19 hours a day on the internet and my eyes are really bad (I do not see clearly without glasses now), but it is worth it. No boss, no silly talk with co-workers just me and my laptop.

I had a Commodore Vic-20 D-: 10 minutes to download a game from cassette, only for it to crash at the last minute - those were the days!!

Addicted, More than likely. Harassed by my Fiance not really. If it helps us earn a living she just sees it as work that could possibly help better our financial situation. I think my biggest addictions however are domaining, call of duty and reading FARK.

No doubt many domainers need to go to domainer rehab!

From what I can tell too many folks on here need a REAL job and have to get off the box!

Who the hell wants a real job? I have had plenty of those and so far all they have done was made the companies money without putting much in my pocket. It's time I got paid instead of someone else. Thankfully I start school next month and with my GI Bill in place working becomes an optional factor.

Except for gambling and smoking, and the second paragraph...i think this is inevitable.

I guess you just can't serve two masters at a time...a little scheduling doesn't hurt. :)

I am not addicted but its a necessity of life. I would rather be a rich guy with bad health then a poor guy with good health :( Because family depends on me.

Everyone always seems to have one pet project on the go and if you let go of that then it's a lot easier to leave the net totally alone.

I'd rather be poor and in good health. Better to have no money but be with those you love IMO. :] Too many people these days think that money solves everything!

I would too sabre. But the situations are different with us all. If I was relaxing a bit in between and giving proper time to my family then I wouldn't have got the things I have now. Now I have an office and staff so now I will give more time to family as well as money that can buy the happiness that could be bought through money. Little bit of sacrifice here and there was necessary. I was going according to a plan. When that plan was completed I started another plan and then another. In chunks at a time. Destination is very near now. But took a lot out of my life. :'(

Each mistake you commit is a lesson learned, at least. As long as you realise your mistakes and rectify them, most of the time, the mistake can be turned into something positive in the long run.

I always think people should make a distinction between their home and work lives. That is one of the reasons I've never thrown myself into full time online work as I would find it hard to distinguish between the two if I was working from home. I'm sure other people have more self control than me though!
