Anyone else seeing a spike in offers?

Its starting to feel like 2007 again. In the past week I have had several "real" offers, many resulting in what appears to be the initial parts of a sale. All end-user contacts.

Anyone else seeing the same?

Perhaps im just riding a nice wave.

This is very interesting, but I cannot say that my offers have increased substantially. Something I would like to know:

Is this "spike" seen only in one category of your domain names (like 3d related, environment related, etc) or are you guys getting more offers all around?

Thank you, and GL!!

I am just seeing a general pickup of inquiries and offers. I have had nearly 10 inquiries across the board in the past few days.

A small increase maybe.

:hi:

No spike in domain name offer(s) / inquiry activity ... but definitely an increase in overall traffic & page views to my developed sites! :gl:

Best,

Q2 2010 revenue will be up over Q2 2009 revenue... largely as a result of opportunities taken in Q3/Q4 of 2009, when the world was coming to an end....

Not yet.. but I have my fingers crossed.

I've had a few offers in the middle of February, and another 2 offers yesterday..all for different domains.

I hope we all have a great year..touch wood

No significant chance in number of inquiries / sales recently. In fact, I have received exactly 6-8 inquiries and made exactly 3-4 passive end-user sales every single month since July 2009.

My 4 February sales all occurred between 2/19 and 2/25; I definitely experienced a spike in inquiries that particular week. I think that spike occurred merely by chance however.

For me the surge started last qtr 2009. It's slightly dropped off from there. But I haven't sold anything this qtr. I have accepted 3 offers but they never got back to me.

My sales this year, reasonably in to $xx,xxx have come from direct email contact both from myself and from buyers.

Has a few mini sales on forums from names that I have been culling.

Sedo, which had in the past been a fair source of business, seems to have dried up since they went to the new homepage format-coincidence perhaps.

I agree Sedo needs to step out and get their name out there in marketplace, maybe sponsor, medical, law conventions something, make their name more friendly in the US Marketplace, could be why godaddy prem. listings are doing good. I have had 4 domains bought via Godaddy prem, that were parked at sedo... The end user bypassed sedo, and went thru godaddy, what does this say?

How popular is Sedo in the U.S.?

Each domainer's circumstance will be different but here is mine. Traditionally SEDO has been my #1 source of sales. Q1 2010 I only had one SEDO sale $100+ while I had seven Godaddy Premium Listings sales and one AfternicDLS sale. One of the Godaddy sales was an alltime record sale and total sales hit a record though I still need to be more actively marketing my domains than I have (of late I have been more focused on development). I gave Twitter marketing a chance the last few months. There are many individuals on Twitter complaining about the difficulty of finding a good domain but it appears the reason they are complaining is because they want a good domain for $10. I'd like to buy a good videocamera for $10 too. But it is interesting to note bloggers commenting enthusiastically about the domains they have recently acquired which no domainer would register and seeing webmaster link exchange requests on PR2, PR3, even PR4 sites with poor quality names. Likewise, many active Twitter members (businesses and bloggers) have websites with domains which are unimpressive. But there is just a reluctance to spend more than reg fee for a domain. Of course I made an offer recently for a .info domain and the response I get back is in excess of three grand. Please, it's a .info...

A couple of inquiries here, no sales as of yet. Hope it is a good year for all of us. :kickass:

I totally agree with the OP on this one. Interest has exploded, and I've been doing end user sales via Fabulous Landers and all sorts of unheard of stuff :)
