Anyone noticed a spike in premium .com domains offered ?

I've been looking for the last few months in what is available on the .com market. Noticed suddenly that brokers and other outlets are offering alot more premium .com domains. I register in all kind of TLDs including the new gTLDs. Is it possible that this sudden spike in .com offers is related to the new gTLDs ? What do you guys think?

There is at the moment lot of VC money available and lot of well funded tech / online startups => much better market for domains than couple years back.

That is probably also true, think with economies recovering and the new gTLD launches that the whole domain market is back in the spotlight and maturing.

The market is definately growing I think, but there could be a bit of fear regarding the new gtlds. Maybe some of these premium domain owners are scared that their top domains are going to lose value so they are trying to sell them now.
