Have you experienced an increase in Afternic price requests? I have received a few lately. Afternic sends me messages informing me that someone is interested in the price and that I should add a Buy Now tag. I recently received two price requests the same day.

However, after the domains are priced, no purchase is made.

On a separate, but related point, I have sent Afternic a couple of messages asking if they could follow up on the price requests, but receive no response from Afternic.

What is your experience?

Same experience here bro, with the price request and the follow up!

Had at least 30 or so this year. Never hear anything back from Afternic after setting the BIN and floor price for these domains. Very annoying and a waste of my time.

No increase but those I had most often result in a sale, maybe 50% or so. Maybe because I set the floor price kinda high from start.

You would think that out of all these price requests they should be able to close at least one sale?

I got only 2 requests and both were no response.

Same Here, never hear anything back. The dashboard gives no updates or anything.
Feels like a ghost town using afternic....

Not necessarily, depends on your asking price.

Good point. But lets say that even when my asking prices are unrealistic or unreasonable high (they aren't really, a lot of these I set a floor in the 2 to 4k range) you would expect at least some counter offers on some of these names? You never hear anything back from Afternic. You are completely in the dark about the interest and/or offer from the potential buyer. Their process for dealing with price request on Make Offer names is broken imo.

Afternics only power lies within the network, its the only reason to use it. The system is partly broken and very aged just as Godaddy. Just set high floor prices and/or BIN and you won't have this problem, this goes for all marketplaces.

Yeah somehow the lack of feedback from Afternic is annoying. In one case I asked them what the buyer's max offer was and they replied. Infact the buyer's offer was considerably less than my floor price.

But I have sold a few names with Afternic which originated from price requests. It is not too easy to respond to these without knowing who the buyer is, so usually a domainer may get defensive and set a high asking price.

I have a tangential question: Most of the domains that I've listed with Afternic (including pointing NS at them), I only see the parking page with a bar on top with a number to call. Is that the optimal landing page or is there something I can do better?

I guess, your domains were in review. Still they have to approve.

If they are approved, you would get like this.

Nope. Most of them are already approved. I'm referring to domains that are live on Afternic. For example, songflare.com or parcure.com

Try to change the minimum offer 250.

If your names aren't listed on GD auctions but are with Afternic, Afternic auto lists your domains with a $20 min offer on GD auctions. It's mostly fellow domain investors hoping to get a bargain imo or end users who won't pay more than $20.

Same experience as Doron here, I've quoted every possible price range and never heard a thing back.
