Hello NamePros!
By popular demand, we have launched a dedicated feedback thread for Afternic, the GoDaddy-owned domain name marketplace.

We have created this thread as a way for you to tell us what works, what doesn't work, and what features you'd like to see at Afternic (please be constructive with your feedback). We're looking forward to hearing from the domain investment community to help us shape the future of Afternic.

We will also be sharing Afternic product updates in this thread.

Please note that this thread is not meant for support. Please email our support team at [email protected] for assistance.

I use Delete way more than a number of the other actions (like Unlist and Export that I only use from time to time). Is there any way to get it back on the list, please?

That was one of the features I really liked about Afternic - whenever I needed to delete some domains, there was no hidden nesting to deal with, just click - click and you're done.

A recent change has now placed the Delete button at Afternic one more click away in the More Actions...

Of course tightening the blank space could allow them all to show.

Thanks.

PS Some of you may have a huge monitor, in which case not an issue. Lucky you.

@GoDaddy how about even adding a small QoL improvement here like pressing the Delete key when domains are selected also triggers deletion?

Despite having access to brokers, support channels, and reps across X and NamePros, we sellers still face significant communication hurdles.

This raises a concerning question: if the process is this difficult for us, how much friction are buyers encountering?

Even if it is only BIN, Why you that much curious how the lead created ? :xf.laugh:
Let them ''brokers'' create leads even from the blue moon, Most important they to bring you at least the closest price to your BIN . If you are satisfied with the offer/need cash then accept it, if not just reject it .

Leads from "Blue moon" ? 😂

If you've managed channels, you'll understand that the lead entry points are an important indicator of the lead quality (and the priority it deserves).

Eg. If the lead came via Phone then it's likely a serious buyer and the broker must be calling the buyer , and not sending automated mails.

These leads come from people calling that number

Because a lot of lowballers will try to circumvent the BIN by calling Afternic directly and saying they are "interested in the domain", so the Afternic phone reps dutifully create a lead that never leads to a sale.

I get these all the time and all my domains have a Minimum Bid. The negotiations never go anywhere and I don't think I've even had one of these yahoos make an offer at or above my minimum. They're just penniless time-wasters that Afternic should never create fake leads for.

You can always tell them apart by the $0 figure in the Offer column. That's a dead(beat) giveaway.

Yep, and this scam should not be allowed, as it just clogs up my dashboard with hobo after hobo who somehow thinks this idiotic strategy will get them a premium domain for the change in their pocket.

I mean, I put a Minimum Offer there for a reason, to keep these bums away from me, but one call later and the geniuses at Afternic open the door wide for them to all walk right through.

I also recommend ignoring the Afternic "request for price" until they provide a viable offer, as some of these are likely fishing expeditions and without an offer, this could be used for a UDRP. If the other party provides an offer first, then it can be used against them as a Plan B.

Basically, if you have a Make Offer listing, never, ever surrender a Sale Price without a real offer. It's just not smart business and likely encourages these knotheads to keep trying this scam.

In my experience, here's how these $0 phone inquiries always end up, 100% of the time, and I get a lot of them:

Boost is NOT turned on for my account. I can't recall if the "Fast Transfer" badge has always been there, or if it was part of the Boost program when Boost is on?

Maybe I just never noticed it but I'm seeing the "Fast Transfer" badge on my domains with a Bin and opt-in to FT (Boost turned OFF). I like it, and when you hover over the badge it explains that "this domain is enrolled to transfer automatically upon payment..."

@DN_Hunter the Fast Transfer Badge is definitely new.
One minute it's there, the next it's gone. I wish they'd make up their minds.

I'm sure it's still early, but I'd like to see it on the BIN landers because I absolutely hate the wording on the custom BINs. "Get this domain. Own it today for, $ and make it yours."

Who speaks like that???

I'm having trouble adding names that I bought on LTO (fully paid off) to my account. Anyone here buy names using LTO and was able to add them to Afternic when the lease completed? DNS verification not working (it usually works perfectly).
It sounds like the TA case needs to be closed out, @Springs77. Afternic's live chat team can assist you there. We'll also connect with you via DM for more info.

Well spotted! This is a new A/B experiment, which is how we test the value of new additions. It's live for Fast Transfer domains using the Custom Lander. Since it's an A/B experiment, you'll see it on some visits, and not others.

Hi Bob,
It looks like this happened after we launched Folders; with the new "Add to Folder" button placed in that toolbar. It does, however, mean one or two options are under the "More Actions" button for smaller screens.

Thanks. I'm right that there is not a way to customize which will appear under More? For me there are several options I very seldom use I would rather be the ones there. I delete names all the time O_o! BTW it's not a big thing, as the fix to turn off sidebar solves my issue, so I've started doing that.

The broker later responded, stating they were unable to reach the buyer - and the lead status was changed to "stalled". This was on 8th May (Friday).

Separately - Today, 13th May - the domain sold via Afternic BIN. And I would think it's the same buyer.

I'd request @GoDaddy to : To identify and fix the communication barriers between the buyers and brokers. I'd also request you to add Lead entry module (Phone, form etc), so we know how the lead came into the system.

Another feature that would be helpful- Right now DDC Pro Members can view the domain searches & views in 30/90/365 day period. Would be quite helpful if you can add the number of times a domain has gone "On Hold" & "Added to cart" in the Afternic network.

@GoDaddy

I see the prices in the custom landing pages ends in ,00

I think the ,00 empty decimals are unnecessary and makes prices look higher

My suggestion is:

Let's say the price is 950:

950 👍

950,00 👎

Just my opinion

Thanks
