S1 E6 - Explaining Domains to Grandma
In this episode, Tim tries to explain what domain investing is to his grandmother, but it doesn't go quite as he planned.

Duration: 2 Minutes and 26 seconds

Note: This is just a little light humor... Forget about the ai slop for a moment and laugh a little at the funny sit-com style content it helped create.

Trivia: According to Scientific American and FoxNews, laughter can extend ones life longer. - Source1 / Source2

This was funny.:ROFL: Trying to explain domain investing to someone outside the industry is always harder than it sounds. Grandma probably gave the most honest reaction.

My Grandma has been dead for more than 50 years. But IF she had known (and understood) what the domain business is, THEN she would have said: "Be careful, so you do not loose your money"

I both wish to go back to a simpler time before we had the internet but also have the wisdom we have today simultaneously. Those of the past likely had a lot of wisdom, but not necessarily the wider knowledge.

I had a chat with a 70+ year-old neighbor who doesnโ€™t have a mobile phone. We live in a village, and he only recently started listening to music on YouTube, on a TV with internet.

A few days ago, he asked me what I do for a living. I had no idea how to explain it to him.

He doesnโ€™t know what the internet is, what Google is, or anything like that.

For him, everything related to the internet is programming.

Well I am older than your neighbor. But have most of my life been working with computers.
I started in 1969 as a computer salesman. The computers I sold, were at a price (in those days) more than a house.

And could be paid off in 4 years on a single wage whilst supporting a family of 6 kids? ๐Ÿ˜‚

Private people did NOT buy computers in those days. Only fairly big companies bought computers.
