General value of .EU

I was wondering what is the value of .eu extension?

I understand it's nothing compared to .com

Generic words (sex, casino, loan) of course have good value, but what about not so great character combinations?

LLL.eu and NNN.eu of course are all taken and owners I think wouldn't sell those cheaply.

But what about LLLL.eu and L-L-L.eu and also N-N-N.eu?

I see that most VCVC and CVCV combinations are taken.
Searched for L-L-L and saw that many are still available, but the best (good acronyms and words) are taken. There are still N-N-N.eus available too.

Is it worth to buy any of these?

Like N-N-N with meaning, L-L-L and LLLL with dveloped sites on other extensions?

Thanks for sharing your opinion! :$: :$: :$:

Check out this thread for some information on .eu domain sales.

Stay away from L-L-L or N-N-N domains, even for .com i feel it's a longshot to use those domains as an investment vehicle.
Let alone for .eu's

LLLL.eu domains may get some interest in some point of time if they are pronounceable but then you're going for the brandable angle here.
You could go for it but then i would count on sitting for those domains for quite a while, so if that is not planned in your strategy then don't go for it.

If you can wait it out for a couple of years then why not? Go for it!
But keep your budget in mind.

thanks Damion!

I was just thinking if now they are available for 1 EUR for a year, maybe buy some and try to sell before renewal comes :)

If you can register LLLL.eu for a euro...
Why not? ;)

Who knows by the end of the year you can flip it for โ‚ฌ100.00 :hehe:

.eu enduser sales almost are never to be seen.
as for reseller flips on .eu i never see them either, there must be some i guess.
imo .eu is to be avoided in any shape or form.
just my opinion. i think most would agree

I am not sure if I am in a minority or not, but I strongly believe in the potential of .eu . I see more and more websites here in Europe that use an .eu domain, so the extention is becoming more known and thereby more popular. I am sure .eu domains will rise in value at some point, and especially in Eastern Europe there is a great pride in membership of the EU so a lot of companies in those specific countries will want to use an .eu name to accentuate their new status as a European Union based company.

As for LLLL.eu ... Depends on the combination. I have two LLL.eu 's and I had an offer of 250 euro per piece. I have not sold them yet because I think they will further rise in value within the next year, so I sort of wait for an even better offer. Still, 500 euro for 2 domains is what I would call a good sale.
