Just a small poll to better understand who our LLLL.com investors are. The poll is completely confidential. If successful, additional polls will be made in the future relating topics other than one's age to one's collection of LLLL.coms.

If we can better understand who our fellow LLLL.com investors are, we can better understand what socioeconomic factors are likely to influence their behaviour in this otherwise seemingly chaotic market. These polls will hopefully help everyone draw their own conclusions about when market entry and exit are best for them.

It would have been ideal to have more options, however, granted polls are limited to a maximum of 12 choices, these are the ones I felt were best for this poll. Those with fewer than 50 LLLL.coms are more than welcome to announce such here.

Thanks Bricio :)

It'd be great if someone made one for L-L-L.coms too. We could then compare the two later and see if there are similarities between those who chose to invest in LLLL.coms and those who chose to invest in L-L-L.coms.

Reece, I clicked too fast before really reading the brackets. Where's the "less than 50 names" bracket?

I own less than 50, and I'm 30 yrs. old :)

Unfortunately, polls are limited to a maximum of 12 options. I'll include it in a future poll, as it seems we have many domainers who fall into that category as well.

Interesting poll.
Just curious about the age gap spread. Is 30+ already consider'ed "very old" in this industry? :(
(I was expecting a more evenly spread through'out the actual man's life span in the real world)

:)

From most people I've talked to about LLLL.coms, not many of them seem to be 40+. I think other categories such as high priced names, high traffic names, .mobi and .tv (examples that come to mind) have a larger share of older domainers than LLLL.coms.

However, I'd be happy to include it in a future poll if we have a large number of older domainers whom I haven't accounted for.

Great Poll. Good work Reece. I can't wait to see the results. Like your blog said, this will definitely help to determine what would happen around next summer, leading into August/September when many (10,000+) domains will need to be renewed.

Alot of LLLL.com investors seem to be right around 30 years of age -- the primary reason I made the second age bracket 25-30, rather than being 25-35, encompassing 10 years like the former.

That's a good sign imho. It's a nice age... Good job, stable income, no worrying about paying for your kids college education for a long time :)
