Vote the WORST letters based on their order (1th on the left=worst)

Hello again,

following the first POLL regarding worst letters in the LLLL.com , I elaborated this better one that should give a clear vision of the worst combinations based on the votants view....so let`s exclude that large Country called China that use any letter, probably because they did not have IDN before.

What you have to vote is now, which is one is for you the worst sequence of worst letters. They do not necessarily need to be in a unique combination of LLLL.com so, if you think that Q is worst than Z and that Z is worst than X, than you`ll have to vote the sequence: QZX.

The order of the different combinations is random, so you just need to select yours without considering its number.

The fact that the options contain 3 letters is a coincidence. If I could add more combinations I would have added another at least 3 letters (J , Y & W) based on the past POLL but unfortunately POLL answers are limited so....if you doubts due to my poor English, just ask before to vote.

It would be very useful in the future for all of us , to determine , a sort of guide on quality between the worst letters and this POOL is toward this guide.

I will post my vote later on to do not influence anyone since votes are shared (visible).

Thank you to all.

Kind regards

I def agree....there have been many very high $$$$ pronounceable LLLL.coms with Z's....

definently goes Q X Z in my opinion

Zank.com sold for $5,778.00....dont think Xank would be worth near as much.

I voted Z-X-Q, and I'll explain.

First, I can think of fewer good words that start with Z, particularly in English where the bulk of the spending is done. Z also has another thing against it. Anywhere things are listed alphabetically such as directories, yellow pages, etc, it will be LAST, even behind X and Q, making a strike against acronyms starting with Z. Most Z words also tend to be nouns, and not descriptive compared to Q, making harder to combine 3 or 4 in an acronym. There are some great Z names and combos, but I think more bad ones. I'd love to have ZZZ.tld or Zip.tld. double z's are very hard to use for acronyms. The only Z acronym domain I have is ZUC.us which is at least pronounceable.

X does have few very English words it's usable for. I don't speak Chinese, so I don't know what combos with X would be valuable to promote them. Where I think it beats Z is that X is also the Roman numeral 10. (I have MMIX.us and .info which is Roman numerals for 2009, as in the year after next), MMXI and MMXII. It's also often substituted for "Ex" (X-wife), or Extra (XL for extra large) or an abbreviation for "cross" as in the Origins of the abbreviation Xmas. The distinctions of X, XX, and XXX being a rating system used for adult movies, poison bottles, and moonshine bottles show other non word uses. I think because of the uniqueness, it's also used for a lot of non-acronyms as a "style" Think Windows XP, GM Envoy XL, XM satellite, and Jaquar XKE. X is also a symbol besides a letter, as in sign at the "X", and the X you might put on a fill in the blank check boX on a test. I only have one domain that starts with an X, and that is XPtraining.info, or as times in math such as 2X2 which equals 4. X is also often subsituted for KS and CS as PIX is an alternaive spelling for PICKS or PIC'S (pictures). I think X in the middle position of an acronym is the hardest to use, unless it's used as "by" as in 4x4 pickup or 2x4 lumber. I sold all of my 3 letter acronyms that were roman numerals like XIX and XIV. My Roman year domains are all I have left, such as

Of the 3, I like Q best in most cases for the reasons I stated in the other thread about this. http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?p=2117000 I have 14 domains that start with a Q, including QBO.biz (Quick Back Order), QBR.biz (QuarterBack Rating), QMA.us (Quality Medical Arts), and QTD.biz (Quarter To Date). I think Q in the leading position is best, lasts position second best, and middle the least useful.

I'll look at an acronym with "bad letters" and if I can't think of something it might stand for in 20-30 seconds, or something in acronymfinder, I'll usualy pass.

Thanks for the votes, but the 3 members that choosed the "none of the above" option, missed to post which letter for them had to be included in the worst 3.

19 voted so far, hopefully we reach at least 50 votes.

Thanks

Z may have little acronym potential, but it is easier to pronounce. I like Z in certain combos.

But here the question lies: why do you register LLLL.com 's? Because of their acronym potential, or because of their brandability. I saw some really worthless LLLL.com (from a domainer pov) that sold for quite big $$$ basically because they were an acronym for some companies.

On another hand, pronounceable LLLL.com 's are worth more (especially if ther are CVCV's or VCVC's). And they sell for higher amounts especially because they are pronounceable thus more easy to remember, thus more brandable.

So if you register LLLL's for their acronym potential, I see X valued better than Z. But if you buy them for their brandability, then Z is better in my pov.

I did it backwards. I meant worst:XZQ:best, but did it the other way.

All we got to do now is hone in on whether Y,V or J is the forth worst letter and then we can narrow down to the worst 4 letter domain.

I think V is the other letter.

I don't think x is a bad letter from a branding perspective, ie xls, xbox, xfiles, xmen, etc are all strong brands

I agree. I have a few X names myself. X can be both a prefix, as in Xbox, and suffix, as in divX.

I regged 2 more today X. Regged oigX and odgX.

Wanna stir up the pot???

Ask about the best letters. Once you get past SAC you really get some difference of opinion. (not saying that SAC is carved in stone)

I voted XQZ.

In the Italian language there is no X , so for me it`s the worst one.

It seems that results are quite spread. 36 votes so far.

The Germans love it in their language.

I believe we're third :) (UK)

MInd you, didn't stop me regging IQVU.com yesterday :hehe:
