m new to this business... want to know if .TV has any value in the market like .com

Certainly people in the sub forum are pro .tv but .tv is not comparable to .com. You have to be much more selective. You would never sell a name like bedtricks.tv (congrats on the .com sale) So you have to be more focused about a domain that is intuitive with the ext LCD.tv Music.tv XXX.tv Reality.tv Numbers or LLL.tv work well cost more but work well. Look at the avail list here get some ideas others comments but remember if you looking to just flip this the wrong ext IMO
