A domainer I once met in a domain conference, had a huge portfolio of .mobi domain names which he thought had a great potential. He held the portfolio and denied close to $2.5 or $3 million offer on the .MOBI portfolio that he had. If I am not wrong, I remember him telling that the offer came via one of the auction platforms, like 7-8 years back. He said, he felt bad rejecting the offer looking backwards. He was so sure of the domains that he owned, that he let go off such life changing offer. However, I am not sure about the number of domain names he owned(actually I don't remember) or the quality. But he sure was a credible domainer and if he said something, it must be true. However, he concluded the talk by saying that domaining is that kind of business. You win some, you lose some! The point that I am trying to make here, is that many of us lose out on some of the deals when negotiating. probably because we are expecting more out of the portfolio, which is fair in this business. Do you recall any such stories where you declined an offer in hope of a better offer and later, the domain either did not sell and you let it expire, or you sold it at the same or a lower price? Or maybe, you are still holding them.
