Hi guys,
One of my premium LLL.mobi got an inquiry weeks ago and I countered xxxxx range since I thought s/he might just be another domainer and I'm not willing to sell cheap. So today I received an adjusted offer of 9xxx.
Please tell me how I should respond, should I raise it to 10000 to at least cover the escrow fee and or should I be more greedy.:undecided:
Please and thanks.

Whoever it is obviously wants the name. I would sell it, unless you can wait and think you can get more in the future. Either way it looks like you have a winner on your hands. Congrats!

Take it! If you get too greedy, you might lose the offer, and it might be a long time before you get that kind of offer again. Even LLL.com doesn't always get sold for that much!

Yes, you guys are right. I don't think it is a wise move asking more.

congrats on the offer ... i'd say take it as well and eat the escrow fees, or atleast split them when you go to escrow

:D I can't understand why you would be exited. Maybe it's because you own too many of them.

Looking at the LLL.mobi that you have available on your site, I'd take the money and run for sure. (considering the name wasn't jumping out at me...)

I would take the offer too. They apparently aren't in the mood to negotiate, so gave you a price you couldn't refuse. Not worth risking imho to get a little more.

Congrats!

I think if you want an extra $500 - $1000 you can get it. If someone is willing to pay $9,000 I don't think a counter, counter offer of $10,000 is going to make them balk at you. If they turn your offer down, you can always just fall back on the $9k offer.

They probably expect some haggling.

Good luck and congratulations.

But really, why? $9,000 isn't enough?

Like I said, don't get greedy...$9,000 is probably the highest amount a non-dictionary LLL.mobi will have sold for, by quite a large margin.

I disagree. There's a psychological difference, aside from the visual, to see $X.xxx vs. $XX.xxx, it may just be a small difference, but sometimes that tiny difference can spoil the deal.

I'd actually look at it from the "other side". Do you have plans with this DN?
Is the domain worth a lot more than what's offered? Based on potential and end user market? Have you done your homework, looked at the seller and the seller's competition?
And the most important question of them all: Can you use the money?

I'd aim to either have the buyer eat the escrow fees or at least split them, other than that, depending on how you answer the questions above - you know what to do.
From a personal perspective - i'd take the deal and invest the money in other domains.

Best of luck, you've got a winner. :tu:

To all concerned.

I have a name. I paid $12.95 for it. It is an unsettled market. It is a new extension. I have owned it few months. Please give me $9000 for it.

Thank you.

I have the same opinion after a quick review of what was listed on your site. Other recent 3 letter sales (hmo.mobi and iou.mobi) jump out at me (or at least I know what they mean). I'm guessing whatever 3-letter this buyer wants has value to them but maybe not to a lot of others. I'd lock the deal up ASAP. Great job, and please let us know what the domain is after it closes.

The HMO was a steal. It is called "Grand Theft".

heh.. i bought IOU dot mobi and HMO dot mobi and i wouldnt pay anywhere near 9k for either of them...

dont push your luck.. accept the 9k unless the domain in question is Sex.mobi

asking for more is like standing at a slot machine that you've already hit the jackpot on and thinking about going again for all-or-nothin..

its impossible to say what you should do without knowing what the name is. To some people $9k is a lot of money so they would just sell any name if they got a $9k offer but those are the kind of people that will never make a 6 figure sale because they are too scared to counter to get it to that level. if the person that sold sportsbook.mobi for over 100k would have gotten an initial offer of 20k everyone would have said he should sell it immediately and not be greedy. it basically just depends on the name, your financial situation, and your negotiating skills. if you are already rich then it might be better to hang onto then to sell for only $9k since $9k wont do much for you. $9k is an extemely good offer for a LLL.mobi right now though.
