Just wondering what the general thoughts are about whether the recent trend to legalize marijuana will boost the prices of pot-related domains?

Do they ship to USA?

j/k
LOL.. awhile back before there was a major crackdown..a few "middleman" were reselling "medicine" found in pharmacies, that were way cheaper in Canada than the USA. Buy in Canadian funds, sell in American (nice profit)! They sure weren't afraid of the legal consequences

..Pretty sure, human nature being what it is, there will be some entrepreneurs "exporting" to the USA..

Michigan is the next big test for legal pot

"
People across the nation are paying close attention to Michigan elections as the state may become the first in the Midwest to legalize marijuana for recreational use.

β€œWe definitely see Michigan as being important to making further progress toward ending prohibition nationally,” said Josh Hovey, spokesman for the Coalition to Regulate Marijuana Like Alcohol, the group behind a legalization initiative on the Nov. 6 ballot.

Proposal 1, the Michigan Regulation and Taxation of Marijuana Act, would allow adults 21 and older to possess, use, or transport up to 2.5 ounces; possess up to 10 ounces at their residence; and grow up to 12 marijuana plants for personal use.

The proposal would also create a state licensing system for recreational marijuana businesses and allow municipalities to ban or restrict them; permit retail sales of marijuana and marijuana edibles with a 10 percent excise tax in addition to the state’s 6 percent sales tax; and change some criminal violations to civil infractions, such as possession of more than the allowed amounts or possession by underage individuals."

I’m in Michigan. You can get a med card easily. Just start to say your back hurts and the doc will cut you off mid sentence and approve your card. It’s that simple!

I like that..rather than putting a person on opiates, doctor prescribes medical marijuana!!!

I live in a border city, that is a fifteen minute drive to Michigan, my kids have "dual citizenship" (because of my "X"), my daughter says basically the same thing!

Michigan
Even the medical policy is close to recreational. The commission is just getting going on issuing permits and a opportunity for substantial domain sales.

Permits
Grows; 500, 1000, 1500 permitts
Caregivers Grows will turn into micro grows ( 50 plants ). All will need branding

I'm especially interested in the craft growers. That I think? Will hybridize out of the caregiver platform. These growers will be top tier; seed to sale; and allowable sales on retail.

Grower permits
Transporter permits
Edible permitts
Retail store Permits
Lab testing permits
Extract permits

Not sure what the resolve was on stacked permitts and vertical operations. Kieth may know more.

In order not to commoditize your product everyone will need to brand in Michigan; aka consider a domain purchase.

What a opportunity PLUS recreational if it passes in a few weeks. They will use the same infrastructure; that is currently issuing permits ( slowly )

On estibot cbdoil. How exactly does those estimators take in the above? They can't intuition can, $8 at a time. I also read legislation pdfs state by state, this is the true driving mechanism on domains in this space I believe. Or forward thinking secondary market purchases, again using the above Michigan knowledge as a example.

This is very complicated.

Is anyone going to attend this thing today - THE AMERICAN CANNABIS SUMMIT

I've been signed up for weeks, but still can't decipher how to watch or listen to it. Any one know how?

Maine

It's a hour long discussion. These are our endusers.

Maine had a ballot initiative in 2016, and it passed, barely. They have LaPage a very anti cannabis governor. He's gone in a few weeks.
2019 is when stores will land streetside.

What a process to end up with domain sales one has to play the long game. And hold, it's about the future; at least in Maine. But good news is it is coming and legalized.

Looks like they may be limiting who can watch, and how to watch. Best I can find right now is their registration site. It's begins at 1:00 pm EST, so maybe a google search will offer a link for watching.

It sucked just a company pumping their affiliates and their products.

Nice to see a summit at all, especially here in the US. Sometimes wonder if these aren't put together to test the proverbial waters with both acceptance and opposition.

There has to be a starting point, so maybe we'll start seeing more of these, with better planning, and more of a purpose behind what folks are supposed to takeaway in general. Time will tell...

I am going to MJBizCon in a few weeks and can't wait! Is anyone else going?

BTW: I remember seeing a few days back a discussion on "Organic" - Organic Cannabis sold for $6000!

I have been putting together a huge spreadsheet of sales across multiple platforms with Hemp, Cannabis, Canna, CBD, Marijuana (and MJ), Pot, Leaf, and a few others. I am going back as far as 5 years and tracking trends (that's what I do in my real life). I have over 300 sales tracked. Cannabis is leading on ave price when it works, Canna is following, Hemp, CBD and Leaf are starting to pick up steam. The sales are all over the board, especially when you factor in Godaddy auctions however there are some clear averages for words and word combos starting to pop up as the volume of sale increase. Once I have it in a more user-friendly format I will share it. In the meantime, for the big spender of the grou TheHemp .com is at auction right now with a current bid of $1567 with 4 days left.

Thanks for your time and efforts. Looking forward to seeing the list once completed.

The Hemp expired auction has been fun to keep an eye on. It will be interesting to see where it finally closes...especially being domainers bidding against one another...IMO.
