We use state of the art technology to solve everyday problems buyers and sellers in the domain industry face. At DAN.COM we focus on automating most processes required to buy & sell domains to increase a more efficient and active secondary market for domains.

What sets us apart is our strong focus on product development and customer satisfaction. We leave nothing to chance and every single feature and element we introduce is professionally and carefully designed and built.

DAN.COM is ranked in the top 5 best-rated marketplaces in the world (According to the biggest review platform Trustpilot) and in the domain industry, we're the domain marketplace with the highest rating with an average of 9,4 out of 10 points.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
@DAN.COM

Do you have some landing pages stats that you can share? like for example:

- Which landing page style has higher STR, Default Vs Brandable?

- Which is better: showing seller's domains at bottom Vs bio Vs none? (I feel showing domains will distract the buyer from buying the landing page domain and may lead to no sale)

- Make offer Vs BIN Vs BIN+Offer

...etc

Such stats will be greatly helpful for the community

Thanks
Good morning Ostrados,

Thank you for raising this question.

It would be too early to state which pages convert better. In general, the combination of parked domains with a buy it now price and the flexibility of a Lease to Own plan appears to generate the best results. However, it is best to consult our support chat and have one of our team members provide you with customized advice.

Have a great day!

Anyone doing Rentals on Dan.com? ("Rent this domain")

If so, how's it going? What are your thoughts about turning on this option?

Thanks!

How much sense does it make to hide the minimum offer and keep the potential buyer guessing? Keep plugging in dollar after dollar amount until they reach the minimum? They're not going to put up with that nonsense...

I agree, and I am getting a lot less offers this month under the new format.

Others like it, but as it was a 360-degree change for Dan 2.0 (and with no warning), then at the very least, this "hidden/shown min offer" should be a user level choice.

I hate these "squeaky wheel" design decisions, which adhere 100% to a vocal minority but do not consult the silent majority.

I would never turn this feature on for a high-end Premium domain, as you're just opening the door to frontrunners to get a "taste" of your top domains for potential resale, while only paying for a single month.

This has happened on other venues that lease, and worst of all, after that first month, all the UDRPs are free,

Either way, I've switched my nameservers to NS3/4(.)Afternic(.)com for a testing period, so any offers via DAN will be solely from searches on their direct marketplace.

Good luck with that.

@DAN.COM what are the terms of the lease agreement? How many days can they be late on payment and how do we get our domain back in the case of non-payment?

Good morning Sircc,

We monitor this on a case-by-case basis. We have a team of account managers chasing buyers who are late on instalments frequently through phone, email, and text messages. We do this for roughly 7-10 days for the first delayed payment. We sometimes encounter that a buyer is delayed due to reasons they cannot overcome (illness, private circumstances, etc) and want to allow them to pay still.

That being said, if it is becoming a frequent thing the grace period will become shorter and our transfer team will ultimately ensure the domain is transferred back to you. As the domain is residing in our holding account we have full control and can ensure the domain is delivered back to you when needed. However, in general, this is not required and payments are made in time.

Have a great day.

@DAN.COM @LaszloSchenk

Any plans on giving us info on dashboard about incomplete checkouts or the number of times someone hit a buy now on specific domains?

I have been requesting this for some time now, this could be a very handy data for investors to rework renewal preferences.

@LaszloSchenk

Would it be possible to have the IP Address of the buyer actually link to the results of the IP lookup? It would be much more convenient than having to manually copy it then manually looking it up.

@DAN.COM Please start showing minimum offers. This would become a hide and seek for buyers and they walk away.
If any seller thinks they would get a better offer with this hide and seek, Please tell them to turn their BIN's on.

If this gets implemented, please make it an option that we can turn on or off.

Can we have all the three options For Sale Page > Buy Now + Make Offer + Lease to own. A buyer can have more options to choose from.
Thank You.

I think not showing min offer is a good thing, since it breaks the psychological barrier for raising the amount offered, the visitor simply has to. And once they are ok with raising, they can raise it even further eventually when the negotiation starts...

Yes. Just turn on make offer in your account settings

Yes. Just turn on make offer in your account settings
When i select Buy Now + Make Offer and Enable Installments, the Domain Landing Page shows only Buy Now and Lease to own options.
Make Offer + Enable Installments > shows only Lease to own option

Not showing the min offer and creating hoops for buyers to jump through was enough for me to move all my names away from DAN. It's a killer. Those saying they prefer hiding the min offer are clueless or have very low value names

Make Offer + Enable Installments > shows only Lease to own option
Login to your account

From your dashboard, select Settings

On the Settings page, make sure the For Sale Page tab is selected

Scroll down that page to the Selling Options section where you should select Bin + Make Offer

Directly below it is the Payment Plan Options section. Enable installments and select your preferred duration.

Just below the different duration periods, you will see two radio buttons to turn the Make an Offer option on and off. Turn it on.

Save your changes.

Visit any of your names. The 3 options should be available now unless you disabled that particular name individually from your portfolio page.

Note, you will need to have populated your Bin and minimum offer (the two can't be the same) to get all those options on the landing page. Having the same minimum offer with the Bin will just display Bin on the landing page

Good morning @UmerK,

Thank you for checking in with us.

We do not have anything on the roadmap yet but have already relayed it to our product team as feedback. We will let you know in case anything changes on this front.

Have a great weekend ahead.
