DAN.COM (formerly known as Undeveloped.com) is on a path to be become the biggest domain marketplace in the world. We use state of the art technology to solve everyday problems buyers and sellers in the domain industry face. At DAN.COM we focus on automating most processes required to buy & sell domains to increase a more efficient and active secondary market for domains.

What sets us apart is our strong focus on product development and customer satisfaction. We leave nothing to chance and every single feature and element we introduce is professionally and carefully designed and built.

DAN.COM is ranked in the top 5 best-rated marketplaces in the world (According to the biggest review platform Trustpilot) and in the domain industry, we're the domain marketplace with the highest rating with an average of 9,4 out of 10 points.

At DAN.COM you will get the highest value for the lowest commission around. Due to our domain transfer automation, we can offer significantly faster handling of domain transactions and payouts (usually within 24 hours) at the lowest fee charged by any domain marketplace.

We've been the first on many fronts and proudly will continue to keep innovating. We were the first to offer optimized for sale pages since 2013, the first to provide payment plans in the form of lease to own and rentals and also the first and only domain marketplace offering free SSL on all domains parked with us for over a year now.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Is it possible to provide an option, the seller bears the 2% handling fee of Paypal, credit card and Alipay. Afternic and sedo 20% commission, we can accept it, as a seller, we don’t care about the 2%, just the extra at the last step of the payment The 2% handling fee is really unfriendly to buyers.

Dan charges the lowest commission in the market

This is factually inaccurate. Dan marketplace does not charge the lowest even before these new additional hidden buyer fees. EFTY at 5% for example undercuts your own marketplace. And there are others that are cheaper.

Also there are other marketplaces that do not have additional buyer surcharges. So this now has to be considered. It's an additional cost.

Such option [who pays the processing fee (buyer or seller)] is provided by Uniregistry Market.
If no changes, this year I stopped my presence there.

I don't get it...did u say u will stop using unireg cause they offer this choice?

or do u mean to stop use dan if they dont add this choice?

1: Redirect on is better due to intercom support being available
Intercom is banned by popular adblockers, just 1 example: Disconnect.me
It was posted in your threads many times and for years.

I stopped my presence on UniMarket after 1 year of usage.
And this fee option is not a reason at all.
Even Bodis has better conversion than this Uni and their syndication.

I totally agree. unireg is the worst of the worst.

in any case it would be nice if dan offered this..who pays extras choice.

To the people asking for fee increases instead of charging buyer.
Never seen this before in any industry where customers are asking for fee increase!

No to all of it. Dan were clearly profitable before the increases. Revert to the old business model.

they are not asking for fee increase..nobody here is suicidal.

they are picking lesser of 2 evils

but ideal is what u say..ie..for dan to stand up to their past.claims of profitability and not increase fees.for no one

I could be wrong but.was.it dan or some other company that made actual claims and basically guarantees to never increase fees.. I'm not putting on this on anyone
...just remember seeing it somewhere on np

They do claim no hidden fees.

Well that is basically false adverting at this stage.

But they are not hidden, they are publicly displayed.
And the buyer has choice.

In IBAN mode you can easily send even $xx wire.
And IBAN fee according to @Rob Monster is <$1.
If it is so HUGE problem for buyers - it is their choice.

They actually advertise on the home page "Transparency first No hidden costs. No complicated math. You’ll never be in the dark, whether you’re buying or selling."

Yet no where are credit card surcharges mentioned.

ONLY after the customer hits buy button AND fills in their details.

Think about it from customer perspective. HORRIBLE experience.

Advertise one thing then feel like you get tricked at the final gate.

+ We will never know if they then drop off.

Here I agree, these legacy statements must be updated.

They have completely gone against their prior ethos.

Why? Short term thinking + money grab.

To all: please try to reduce the number of postings slightly so it doesn't become a chatbox here :) It's kind of hard to spot the relevant suggestions in this thread at the moment, also for DAN.

My chat (since Thursday) with all details and screenshots ended this morning.

Last reply from @LaszloSchenk

Thank you for your feedback.I have made sure to relay your findings to our product team.

Have a great week.
And in this thread today - they wished me to consider another options/venues...
I finished it yesterday, all legacy TLDs were moved away.
I left only nTLDs on your "amazing" and "reliable" landers, and will review these domains later.

Well buyers could use wise.com wire transfer, if they know about this option. But it is not that easy, you have enter the bank details there, carefully double check them, then login to your bank and send the money to wise.com, again enter everything, double check the details etc. It could easily take 10 minutes. And don't forget the ID verification process on wise.com. International wire transfer needs a lot of fields to be filled in, it is a hassle.

Without wise.com it can be expensive. My bank would charge me min. 10 USD in case of an international wire transfer + cost of the currency conversion.

We do IBAN transfers now for 0.63 Euro. It is pretty close to free and almost instant. Transferwise has been a game-changer there. Waiting for Revolut to be legal in USA.

To Adyen.

Been taking a look at Stripe homepage for comparison: 1.4% for European card, 2.9 for non European cards. Lower fees for higher volume business.

Adyen charging them 3.2%

Whats your problem alcy. You whined for 10 pages now, deliberately leading thread around. Move your landers, go bitch somewhere else. 87 posts since last night bed time, np becoming waste of time too. Thanks

it makes u all look like total lamers when u say that.

I've always been very happy with Dan. No complaints at all -- until now. This extra 2% fee to the buyer for using a credit card is bothering me. I absolutely DO believe that it will have a negative impact on sales. Maybe not all sales, but some. There's gotta be a better way to increase revenue for Dan without implementing this 2% surcharge.

@DAN.COM

How about adding DAN 1.0 as optional till we sort out the issues with DAN 2.0 if its possible?
