It's time for the domain industry's version of March Madness

The best registrar in the business for 2020

Registrars that got less than 2 votes from last time were not included, Uniregistry being acquired by GoDaddy is not included.

the last big poll here.

Can NameSilo defend their crown? Will Epik finally come through and attain the top spot? GoDaddy always a contender. Any surprises?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
That's for acknowledging you also like Dynadot, Namesilo, registrars in the top 3 last few polls, that's consistentcy.

Yes, lol, I went over that a few times already. The lack of reading around here. I said I like both, just a few minutes ago even. I was floating between which one I liked best. Hard for me to pick between them, that's why, yet again, I like multiple votes.

Please ....cut the crap with your reading thing. You dont speak better English simply because you are from the US, the Brits wont accept that.

Back on topic, the poll did not say how many registrars do you like? It said the best and then you choose one and you are done. Simple.

Two sets of results is a bit much. And why punish Epik just because they actually badge their staff. We should be encouraging more companies to do so not put those who do at a disadvantage. Best thing is to assume all companies have staff voting whether we know it or not just accept it and move on.

@Joe Styler Any chance you can send 1000 employees to vote on this poll? But first give them badges. No, wait, badges are not mandatory, votes without bagdes are just fine too.

They need make acc. Read the thread. Godaddy near-zero NP presence, outside Joe Styler and Paul Nicks

Those would be bigger "shills" and outcry than epik employees who at least post here.

I posted fact, I did go over it multiple times. I also find it interesting that you know I changed my vote. It's like you were stalking me or something. I like both pretty equally, could be the 4th time I mentioned that. It's not a hard thing to grasp.

How can you be so sure? Do you have access to all member IPs and emails?

i go by the badges!!! Two high level executives and zero "other"

Isnt that what we use to judge epik? "badges"?

Read my previous post:

Well, let's say that's true and that's across the board.

Epik on top of that has:

40 badged employees

verified unbadged employees - 0 for everybody else

if/who knows how many influencers. Rob did mention increasing that on social media, I'll take him on his word on that. We had 2 recent threads started recently for the sole purpose of telling us what a great guy he is.
----------
You're activated now because you see Dynadot making some moves for that #1 spot, fanboys not happy. Same guys that disliked me pointing out obvious promotion are very active now here, once they see Dynadot moving up.

Are you trying to claim Epik has a disproportionate number of employees for their size?

I find it more interesting to see Epiks improvement from last year. And oh Dynadot was 3rd last year. It seems bot Godaddy and even Namesilo have fallen. Which seems fair.i regularly get frustrated by GDs platform and policies. Between Epik and Dynadot both re good registrars and IMO either is a solid choice. For me I prefer the content innovation of Epik but for many they may be quite happy with a registrar that works and dosent care about all the other stuff. Imo that's completely reasonable.

Again with the reading. I posted what I posted. You can read and quote it. There is no invisible text.

judge epik?
Nobody is trying to judge any registrar. Should it be decided to exclude employee votes, all Dyna empoyee votes would also be excluded. No doubts!

How can we do that? We dont know who they are. The only rel option to to accept employee votes are happening whether we know they are employees or not and just move on. It's not the end of the word either way.

Nope, I dont stalk in real life or virtually lol. I noticed because I was checking whether known employees of other companies were also voting for their company. You username was right next to Joe's for Godaddy.

So no stalking. I have many names at Dynadot and I mentioned earlier in this thread that they would be winning if Epik was not having the staff vote...atleast more staff than any other registrar. I even corrected @dncafe 's audit and told him he did not count for two Epik staff. At the time, they had 22 staff votes.

How can we do that? We dont know who they are.

Shameful, a company the size of Godaddy can ill afford hire much if any from NP

Employee votes should matter, IMO. It's just picking on epik for no reason.

Btw @JB Lions, Rob doesnt hire "influencers" i dont get paid for this, speak from the heart

Best effort based on public profiles. What else?

So we instead encourage not badging employees. That's the end result if we do that.

I think it's better to ignore that as employee votes will for the most part cancel each other out whether we know they are employee votes or not.

@JB Lions Looks like you edited your post because it has extra text than it had when I quoted. Now quick question for you, lets suppose it is between Godaddy and Dynadot. Which company would you choose as the best?

I believe lot here changed their votes to dynadot just to be against epik. Too much politics. If there are fanboys of epik then there are dedicated haters too.

I have names there at Dynadot. Never had to send an email or even chat with them about an issue. Smooth really, so we cannot deny that. I am not surprised they are getting votes; what I am surprised about is the fact that both Godaddy and Namesilo are way behind.

So, this poll should be an eye opener for them... And, hopefully, it will.

Oh, so now when we have Epik losing steam we are going to starting questioning the results.

Got it!

It should, and I forgot to mention that Netsol is also getting votes though it seems everyone here doesnt like them.

Agree dynadot is quite good registrar but as you mentioned namesilo and godaddy shockingly geting too less votes. I think that also indicates the reason for some might be to concentrate all votes.on dynadot to go against epik, not divide the votes and stop them for winning.

I think this is what happens, when you sell out. NameSilo owners got $9.5M set for life. Everything the same, as promised, but some people, cant accept that. Even if company that bought them(Brisio) re-branded to NameSilo. I think they have to work hard to change conception of M&A. Personally turned off, since Brisio was and still a penny stock (even after name change to URLOF) I dont like public, and prefer private.

I mean.... just look at Uni! They got excluded for being acquired by Godaddy! LOL.

Godaddy is least surprising of them all, I was anticipating this in 2019. Got so big content, and eventually those with under 500 domains just got tired of treated like trash, and paying fees on top of fees.

It is astonishing that with all the Epik staff voting, the different between Dynadot and Epik is just 9 votes as of now. So, yes, as I said before a couple of pages in this thread, Dynadot will win and have strong chance.

I am not questioning the results. Whatever the results i will accept it. Last comments i was only giving my view just like there are many others who have here.

I only wish i'm allowed by @equity78 to edit my vote mistakenly given to enom .

This poll really only means so much.

In the actual real world voting, aka with your wallets...GoDaddy is a massive juggernaut and Epik is a relatively minor player.
