Many of you like Rob Monster because the information that he posted. But many did not realize that he SPAMS the forums whenever he has a chance.
- Spamming/Promoting his company everywhere
- He also hired a team here and tell them to spam the forums also.
Too much is too much and this needed to be stopped.
- OP asked about Godaddy who is privacy. He inserted an Epik link
https://www.namepros.com/threads/wh...rom-godaddy-to-namesilo.1166442/#post-7531080
And many more:
https://www.namepros.com/threads/what-will-happen-to-our-domains-when-we-die.1167187/#post-7530982

He even inserted a link from Webhostingtalk.com which considers Namepros competitor.
https://www.namepros.com/threads/is...like-in-the-digital-age.1167212/#post-7530874

I don't hate the guy. It's just spamming too much or he may have some mental problems?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Holy Toledo skipper. More drama.
Sad to see so many heated debates, or so they are called here at namepros. It used to be such a wonderful place. now its whose side you on.
Thanks rob for being so interactive and sharing/helping. I think epik control panel sucks, but business wise, your on the job.
Seems like a lot members here are on the job..
@johnn your up to 46 dislikes

Hi

how many violations can accrue for any member, before NP takes next level action?

is it 5 or 10, 20 within a certain timeframe?

if certain number of members, have reported another members posts, regardless of their user name, how many reported threads against them have to accumulate, before NP takes action?

if I promote my names for sale in other members discussion threads, and keep doing it no matter how many times mods warn me, then how long can I do it, before I get infracted?

if I get infracted, then how many infractions can I accumulate, before I get banned?

now, you'd probably expect that behavior from a newbie or a spammer or a newbie spammer, but you wouldn't expect it from a long time member, especially one who is the CEO of a registrar.

one would expect or at least assume, that a member in such a position, would hold the forum rules in the highest regard.
not blatantly and consistently violate them, under the guise of "enlightenment and informing".

and if... that person's desire for customers becomes more important than adherence, then will or can that same disregard, manifest itself within the company they are CEO of?
just saying....

sure, we all want to get customers, sales, etc., but on the forum, we should do so, within the guidelines set forth.

again, it's not personal it's business.

imo...

is it eventually against the rules
or at least the spirit
of namepros

to turn an ANTI epik.com complain

into an epik.com PROMOTION
is discussing off topic stuff??

just because there enough epik staff members
who can post
w/o 1 single guy becoming guilty?

Nothing like healthy discourse, in my opinion, drives folks to see what the big fuzz is about. The fuzz is worth checking out sometimes!

Not sure why few people are repetitively against @Rob Monster posts. It seems few people feeling jealous otherwise they should have find atleast few positives out of so many negatives they see. Seeing only negatives means there is some problem in you not in Rob..

He is an active member of this forum and that too I have never or even heard of CEO who responds to even newbie when they need help. As a owner of Epik, there is nothing wrong in giving reference of his services whereever applicable in the discussions that is where people start discussing pros and cons and ultimately helps members to choose right option. Seems few people getting afraid of his posts may be because they are not getting the same attention Rob is getting. Relax guys..stay cool..

Yeah Frank,

We should all just keep bashing him and nothing else should be allowed in this thread. This place would really suck if people like you ran it. I don't think youre capable of much more than sh*t spewing, and you really aren't smart enough to do that well either.

yeah
you are right

I'm bashing not professionally..
I'm a hobbyist basher only

sorry for failing

I try and stay out this kind of crap now,I have no time for a lot of the arse kissers that show up in these kinds of thread though, like a bunch of munchkins chasing Dorothy down the Yellow Brick road....

Rob gets somethings right, gets somethings wrong, he has good ideas and bad ideas just like every other person...... big deal........you either appreciate what he does or you don't.

to me @Rob Monster was clever enough to stop his personal spamming
and actually is doing much better now in taking over namepros
by simply convincing more and more members
to add an epik, com staff badge to their profile

clever

be aware

Actually, they are staff. Some may "graduate" and not be staff, but we love them anyway. However, if they got an Epik badge, they were ~40 hours per week with an Epik email address. Obviously some staff are crazy passionate and log 100 hour weeks like me and get more done in a day than others get done in a week, and when you add a bunch of those folks together, well, things get pretty amazing.

Yes, Epik is assembling an international A-team. I think that is good news for the industry. The Epik badge thing on Namepros is just an act of transparency. Percentage-wise, most of the Epik staff are hardly active on NP at all. I would be fine if some of them were more active, particularly as I am often away for several hours at at time, e.g. running meetings, traveling, or in conferences, etc.

At Epik, we call it .... LEMONADE:

https://www.namepros.com/threads/turning-lemons-into-lemonade.1161776

We are by no means perfect. Let's just agree there. That said, we are serious people, working hard, co-creating and listening. The results are starting to become apparent.

As for the OP, I think he set a record for the number of Dislikes on a thread. This thread will probably have 10,000 views before it is done. Maybe more, since it will likely be a top monthly thread for another 29 days.

Anyway, thanks for feedback, support ... and for the lemonade.

Sounds like he found a great community and joined in and expanded his business! Very smart.... very smart! Explains why he is very successful right now.
.

Rob,

I created this thread to expose you, not to get “likes”.
You promote your business everywhere you posted. There is a promotion section you should post there not everywhere. you even inserted links about your company in this thread.

An CEO but acts like a typical teenager in the forum.

may be this is the real you?

https://m.huffingtonpost.ca/entry/r...eo-nazi_n_5c17bb29e4b05d7e5d846f72?ri18n=true

Well, it would appear that your expose is going great.

As for maturity, is the photo in your avatar, actually you? Real name?

As for the false propaganda about me, I am sure you know it is bogus. You and your sidekick @Shackleton choose to trot out nonsense like this:
upload_2019-12-9_12-50-23.png

Why attempt to defame? What kind of demon inspires such nonsense?

Anyway, you have my info -- call anytime. I am always happen to listen to critics.

How ironic. His point is you are hiding behind anonymity, Rob isn't.From what I've seen Rob is an asset from the community, you are...I'm not sure how to describe. You act some sort sort of disgruntled former employee of Epik....

Meanwhile @Rob Monster I'd consider that you are probably doing something right to gather all this attention, not to mention this thread shows by-enlarge you have the backing of alot of us in this community. And I for one appreciate all you do in spite of stuff like this.

Johnn, I dunno buddy. I highlighted the irony. Yet another by someone looking to lambaste Monster, and the lambastee (coined, thx) takes the lemons and you've gotten served a pitcher, my friend.

The man gets massive air time, because he gives a TON of air time. How about you lay off, and concentrate on your own strengths- quality domain names? NP has it's own Monster, I wouldn't have it any less and hundreds if not thousands appreciate the time and effort the man gives.

Look, totally get your point of view. It's easy to write someone off when they represent a corp. But unlike individuals like who represent TLDs or registrars from .best or .top, Monster has proven his worth. I don't care if there is Epik references injected into his threads or posts. What exactly do you expect from the ceo of a registrar? Any less? Any less and I would be worried. We're not imbeciles, members of NP can differentiate between counterfeit and the genuine article. There are a ton of facets to domaining as well as individuals that contribute to NP.

I have massive respect for corps that drive off the beaten path, ie CEO remuneration that more closely resemble the everyday worker, corps that take Black Friday off rather than feeding consumerism, corps that look at employees as people rather than numbers, corps that connect with their customers, etc etc. Monster is a trailblazer, if you can't acknowledge or respect that I think you might need to broaden your horizons.

Whatever, Rob didn´t start this thread. Or did they forget to add the EPIK staff badge to the OP´s ID?

Is there a "Popular this year" ranking?

Guys you all celebrate @Rob Monster
and there are more and more of you

__> I wish you luck

Hopefully, you like him 5 years from now, too.

On the other hand,
just because this thread gets dislikes like hell
doesn't make the message wrong.

to me, it looks like all you "fans of epik.com" tend to disrespect
"free speech"

why do you come here and make the OP shut up
and look silly?

He has a valid point.

Go and love @Rob Monster
time will tell
if that was a great idea

I personally don't mind if Rob promotes Epik in his posts, I think it's his job to do so. I also don't think it's "spammy", in fact it's how I get to try Epik. Now, I'm slowly transferring my names there. I like that he's active, it's not common to see a CEO of a registrar communicates with clients this often. Last month, I opened a live chat with their support to ask about an issue and Rob joined in just to say hi. I'm not sure if he does this randomly or if he knows that I'm an NP member.

I still like Namesilo and Dynadot but as of this moment, Epik stands out.
