In case you were not paying attention, the Alexa rank of NamePros is going through the roof. This place is rocking with great content and great community. It is quite a thing!

Earlier today, I made a private prediction that NamePros will continue to grow in popularity. Just for giggles, I thought I would share my prediction.

I predict that NamePros will end 2019 with an Alexa rank of better than 25,000.

What's your prediction?

Cast you ballot before September 30,2019.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
.. it only works that way when the interactions, or at least those outside the Break Room, are professional, since they are there for the world to see.

definetely

>>>>> 1. If there are more domainers, there are more buyers. <<<<<
LOL
good joke

selling to fellow domainers?
newbies

that interesting for epik
but not for us domainers

>>>>> 2. If domainers learn to hold their inventory for higher prices, you have higher average prices<<<<<

come on
how is that related to Alexa btw more traffic?

>>>>> 3. If domainers move supply into strong hands (end users) you have less available supply. <<<<<

I can only regard this as trolling

just because there are more domainers
we won't sell at a higher price to stronger hands

I will ignore the rest of your post

Ephesians 4:31-32
Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

Thanks Frank.

So, you think I am exploiting domainers? Really? Which part of this looks like exploitation:

- Teaching people how to sell for higher prices

- Hiring people and training them while rarely drawing a salary for myself.

- Selling domains at a loss through aggressive promos

- Interest-free non-recourse domain loans

- Introducing Digital Empowerment grants -- literally free money

- Openly sharing our development plans which any competitor can copy.

- Introducing free tools and free training programs for which others charge fees.

So, yes, please stop your nonsense.

Now answer the question: why do you want domainers to be poor?

let me answer friendly:
never said that nowhere

I was sitting back just to see how bad this thread was going to get.

Alexa. When ever I hear people talking about that, I think newbie. Why? Because in my first few months it was something I cared about, even had the code on my site. Until, some vets schooled me on it. No normal person in America installs the Alexa toolbar, it's more internet marketing types, people from other countries. It's the easiest thing to game, there are literally videos out there on how do it. Really, just install the toolbar. Go to Affiliate Summit, walk around and tell people your Alexa score, you'll get laughed out of the building, I'm not even joking.

What's happening here is more Savior type stuff.

Protip said - "If anyone has a staff working for their website and wants their Alexa rank to soar, get everyone to install the Alexa toolbar and Alexa will waaaay over-estimate your traffic numbers."

Rob, does your staff have the toolbar installed?

Ron said: "NamePros has a reputation for be toxic. I see why people think that. Please stop pooping all over each other"

You used poop in the other thread for people saying your promotions should go in the Promotions section.

The short version is, I'm saving Namepros/Domaining, look at the Alexa stats that are getting better because of me, don't ever "poop", question me again. Somebody else mentioned that before and you kind of walked that back a little bit saying oh no, it's the great people at NP but it's clear you think it's because of you.

The problem is they're Alexa stats. If you ever wanted real stats, then simply post real stats, go to the logs. Tell me actual uniques.

Look at Eric's first post:

We have more traffic today, not just more, but "a lot more" than 2016, but NP has better Alexa stats in 2016. You could have the same amount of traffic, and just have that same traffic install toolbars. Did you get more traffic? No.

AFAIK, no Epik staff use or endorse an Alexa toolbar.

As for NamePros, I think it has potential to be a catalyst for making the pie bigger. You don't?

You prefer to just talk as old-timers with your avatars about the good old days?

Rob, it's obvious. You posted yesterday about some email template being a gift:

@Mod Team Echo @Mod Team Alfa - Review this one because this is a giant GIFT.

Understand that's a discussion we've had many times here already, it's nothing new. Email templates for ingoing and outgoing inquiries.

And you didn't address any of the points in my post really, you just dodged them talking about my avatar again, when one of your staff has a Shia Labeouf avatar. Is Shia taking a break from acting to work for you?

It's Alexa. Namepros had better Alexa stats in the past then we do now. Eric literally posted that in the first post.

I like real stats.

As for @Gube, everyone here knows that it is Guy Bertrand. He is a talented high school kid in Belgium. I don't know why he uses that avatar but I think he said it inspired him:

As for those email templates, I think this was indeed a gift:

I see quite a bit more deal flow than you probably realize.

A few essential things:

1. NamePros has a reputation for be toxic.
I don't think that is a fair assessment. Sure there are those that share that opinion. Particularly those that only engage in private "boardrooms" and tend to lurk here, yet comment negatively in blogs.

For the most part NP's has a good reputation or you wouldn't see the growth we are witnessing.

IMO.........

Totally agreed. I am not saying it is justified. I am just saying that sometimes things do go hot, and probably people who need their safe space can't handle that.

Gotcha!....and thank you for tracking the growth of NP's. I believe it is a good baseline for domain investing growth that only increases the value of domains.

I actually want to congratulate @The Durfer.

Apparently he was the only true believer in NP:

Everyone else set the bar too low.

Ok, can you explain how people installing toolbars = increases value of domains. While doing that, tell me about what Eric posted. Where NP had better Alexa stats, but less traffic.

Side note - peep the Santa hat on my avatar. Shia doesn't have a Santa hat.

My gift to you all, there are many ways but this is one - https://photofunia.com/effects/xmas_cap
Let's get merry.

Agreed, we know there is a lot of room for improvement with search. Search is very complicated and Google is the best at it in the world. We often recommend users to use Google with site:namepros.com when searching for things on NamePros because of how good it is, and that's why they're Google. ;) It's something we try to improve here and there but unless that's your business's main focus, there's no practical way to make your own in-house search anywhere near as good as Google's.

So why not just put google search in the side bar as a second search option?
It should be relatively easy to do.

I really don't understand
why it should be important
to a domainer who is selling to end users
that namepros has more traffic ?

I don't actually want my end-users to land here,

Go away End User!

Selling to domainers
is not a good idea
for most domainers.

But of course its different for registrars.

Basically you are bragging about
how you improved namepros traffic, Rob
yes I understand its your blood

But don't pretend its good for every domainer
- thats sand in the eyes again

You are right there, the last thing you want here is endusers.

Why? What does it hurt if end users see what's here? Does domain investing need to be some "underground" cult of speculators?

Why because people listing names on Afternic and Sedo asking big money are offering them here from time to time at $25 to $50.

End users that have purchased names at BrandBucket would have seen them going for $10 to $30. I actually one email me from my blog saying they paid $4,000 and stumbled on an old namepros thread and asked if they would have been able to get it for $10?

Some endusers might be filing UDRP's or taking other actions seeing some of the things posted here.

If an end user has a legitimate UDRP case it should not depend on what is posted here.

What we should want is for end users to realize that domains are an IP asset that has true monetary value. NamePros and the blogs you write for and own provides evidence that domains are an asset and can be purchased and traded.

Value is created by education, not through silence or secrecy. NamePros and blogs provides the education.

We need to be an open, inviting and inclusive community. By doing so domain values can increase and profits can be better realized.

IMO........

That's why there are all kinds of opinions. I am not a part of a we, I don't stand with any group, I don't agree that end users being here is a good thing and thankfully for the most part they are not.
