The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Domain: C/6/2/9 in come
Inbound email
Got it in closeouts summer 2016, then renewed it too this summer
Initial offer by me $145
Final price $115
After paypal fees and acquisition /renewal expenses, I got about $79 or so net.

I had received numerous offers throughout the year, but nothing more than $25 or $50. I sold it for around namejet prices I guess.

Domain name: BioMedical/Waste/Services(dot)com
Domain industry: Waste
Sale venue: End User
Seller: Me
Asking price: $300
Sale price: $300
Purchase price: Reg Fee

Hi all, been a while since I closed a deal. Paypal very smooth transaction. Been a difficult couple months, lost my mom to lung cancer unexpectedly. I would always call her and tell her when I sold a domain. She couldnt believe that I could sell domains for hundreds or thousands of dollars. Everybody love your mom! So, trying to get back in the swing of things.

AfterNic commission structure.

Sale price of domain >>> Commission fees
$0-$5,000 >>> 20% ($15 minimum)
$5,000-$25,000 >>> $1,000 +15% of amount over $5k
$25,000+ >>> $4,000 + 10% of amount over $25k

Maybe it's different when buyer uses Afternic Broker service.

Godaddy buy service would be 0%, as the buyer pays all.

hmmm... so if you don't have your domain listed and the Godaddy buy service people call you you pay 0 commission, but if you have it listed at bin , but the buyer makes an offer (not bin) through a Godaddy rep you pay the commission? just for clarification.

That's right.
When someone type your domain on GoDaddy search bar, if you don't list it, so they just see " This domain is taken". And if they want to try to buy it, they can use GD broker services, which cost them fee. And you - as a seller won't pay any fees for it.
But if you list your name on GD auctions or Afternic, when someone type your name, they can see it is for sale with the fixed-price. They just kick it and pay money, so you must pay commission fee, because it marks that you used their listing services to reach the offer.
I've sold my names in 2 ways like this, so 100% sure :xf.rolleyes:.

The afternic agent told me that the buyer and the seller both pay 10% commission. This is for the broker service.

When my client bought a name from me, they used GoDaddy Broker Service, then the buyer payed all.
I did have to pay any fees.

What's the use and purpose of sharing just the niche of sale when you can't disclose the domain name?
