No, not joking, I think there's a strong possibility that next year crapola UQJ or KVY not only is not picked on expiring auction but struggle to find buyers on closeout.
But that's just my personal opinion. I could be wrong.
I personally wouldn't pay even $5 (+renewal) for them.

well it's all about speculation and choices.. it wouldn't be domaining if it wasn't about that. hehehe.

the $5 3l.co domains (as you described them) u will not be buying, will stil be selling like hotcakes and thousands upon thousands will be lining up to get them.. me too!

but... I'll leave all the 4l.co for you ;)

all good and everyone happy. now that's what I Call domaining! ;)

that is not going to happen. I own no .co domains, but you are making a surprising, fatal mistake by underestimating .co. Like or hate it, but .co has traction in the market. End users are still buying them. I acknowledge and respect that. Numbers dont lie...check the sales boards.

Just to be clear when I say $5 domain I really mean $35 (5+30 renewal)
BTW - there are 2 LLL.co selling on Flippa right - so put your money where your mouth is :P

I own no .co domains
So wait, you don't own any but you think you know how easy/difficult is to sell them?

What? I love .cos, that's my favorite (and most successful) extension.
But I am talking about the crapiest of the 3L - QZU, ZJV etc
You will struggle to find buyers for names like that - I rather get a few reg fee CVCV.co or even a good LLL.io

Absolutely - I sold CVCV for $500 just a few days ago. On the other hand the highest offer for LLL.co I had was $995.

I wonder
There was a lot of names registered due to $2-3 promotions (November-January) + all the buyouts.
Who knows. Maybe .co registry will do what .xyz is doing and give us cheap reg fees at the end of 2016 / start of 2017 to hide big drops in registration numbers.

I love your thinking outside the box,BUT, in my strong opinion,.co and .xyz wont have similar destinies- .co has global acceptance, .xyz is damn bubble. nuff said..

Xyz is for spammers and co is for real businesses.
