Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

We allready spoke about this domain structure few time some month ago (My+VR+KW), and you were not so positif about the idea but i'm still convience that VR could be personnal experiences and that domain names like MyVRcoach, MyVRdoctor, MyVRagent and so on could work pretty well with VR industry to give this proximity to the users so i decided to give a try to them, and will try to distribute them on myVR.media on a original way and see if it works i will let you know when i will put it online of course it'a only my point of view...will be happy to have your feed back about the concept

it was a joke. though I did manage to reg a whole bunch VR on promos.

serious note: I should be around 500 after I drop some and renew some.

500=4k per year investment. as long as they are in the good/decent/average category and many/most retain that potential to sell in the low to high XXX ranges (with of course some going above that too into XXXX). then one should be good to go and able to cover all/most of the renewal costs. so far that worked for me... I can only imagine it should be even more possible as VR progresses and goes more and more mainstream. it wouldn't be logical if that did not happen... and this is the premise everyone here is building on. duh.

that'd be my strategy. look forward to seeing if it'll work.

like we all know.. VR is a longer term investment. I am not doing this for short term profit. so there will definitely be no disappointment there for me! hehe... just get all/most my renewal costs back during first years.. and then hopefully make money.. and if not.. then I still had tons of fun and met tons of cool people here, for practically free.

Absolutely agree! This is something that's been eating at me brain lately. With how early stage VR is; to not take advantage of this opportunity to develop something, a simple blog, for sale / showcase site, Twitter page, etc is a big missed opportunity. A little bit of effort goes a long way.

Here's an example. I created a facebook page for my TheVRStore.com domain Facebook.com/TheVRStore.com/ Nothings really on the domain or the FB page. But I was approached by a Chinese supplier on there. People all over the world are looking. Whether it's for domains, news, stories, content, new ideas, suppliers, ad spaces etc. Cha Ching any ways I've rambling.
